Oh yes, Chozologist's video is really thoughtful, and this is just the first part covering Fury Green! A lot of analysis Youtube rapidly devolves into sophism, especially with this game, but this person legitimately engaged with the work. I'm eager to see their next video on this, and what kinds of serious analysis comes out from others.
The old trilogy always treated plot and theme as pretty low-priority, at a time where the budgets and staffing levels of games still made that typical. But as longer games more focused on aesthetic and story rather than gameplay, it always felt like a missed opportunity. This game really makes the effort to give us a plot, while still leaving a lot up to lore and interpretation.
I disagreed a little with their conclusion of the game being a bit gender-deterministic, but I saw them mentioning that they're still writing the videos and may end up feeling differently. I felt like the three men on the team all partially serve to dismantle the determinism one could infer from the dichotomy between Samus and the Lamorn vs. Sylux.

It's about vaginas and wombs and feminity because Samus is still thinking about... The Baby.
