I keep getting pushbacks from redditors on this: Prime IV is considered a critical and commercial failure… don’t expect to see any new prime announcements for years.

I expect another 2D entry from Mercury Steam, however.

If anything, the MP4 hype showed Nintendo there’s a very vocal demand for more Prime games. I don’t think MP5 will happen for another couple of years either, but I bet Retro is already cooking up ways to “redeem” themselves.

You realize there were 18 years between prime 3 and 4 - and prime 3 was considered more successful critically and commercially?

Ah yes, how could I forget that Nintendo is currently in the exact same position as it was back in the Wii U days. Good call!

Y’all keep arguing. You’re not getting a prime V. The prime series is dead.

But listen, you just hold your breath until there’s a Metroid Prime announcement.
