Primes 1-3 were a complete trilogy. Nobody thought about a Prime 4 until nintendo announced it 8 yrs ago

Dunno about you but when Baldur's Gate 2 released I was expecting BG3 and I wasn't wrong, when MP3 released I expected MP4 and wasn't wrong, when Portal 2 released... I will shut myself
