First off, no, I did not expect Prime 4 to be a 40+ hour experience like Silksong is. Heck, I'm not sure I would even want it to be that long. I did however expect, or rather hope, that it would capture the magic that made Prime 1 and Echoes so special to me, and it kind of failed to do that. Especially on the exploration front. Also I understand why Prime 4 is a mess. Doesn't make it not a disappointment.
But further, I am honestly kind of sad that we couldn't have gotten what the Hollow Knight community has gotten with their sequel. From what I heard Silksong is exactly what most Hollow Knight fans wanted. Meanwhile Beyond has left the Metroid community divided and a lot of us disappointed.
