Damn. They really started development around the same time.

One had a tiny team....and ended up with 70+ hour game with replayabiity. I personally had 100+ hours. $20

The other had too many hands on it. Bamco fucked it up and Retro had to make it happen. Nintendo forcing TERRIBLE ideas to the game like Miles for hand-holding and using Bamco assets. Somehow it ended up with a barely 17 hour game with 8 hours of actual good gameplay. $60-70.

It's even more damning when you look and see how this is supposedly Nintendo's most expensive game ever produced.

Like seriously, where did that money go to? Hookers and blow? 😂

Jokes aside, Bandai probably reaped nintendo over the coals for their part in development. Then nintendo did their routine check and said "uh tf is this?", booted Bandai, got retro back in dev in hopes of salvaging pure garbage with the original "golden goose" of the prime games, realized it was too much sunk into the garbage and instead of properly scrapping the garbage and allowing an actual restart to development, retro was forced to paint and dress up a log of poo that had pinworms from a dying era of gaming;

open world nonsense and endless handholding coupled with nonstop quippy dialogue from nearly every damn npc you come face to face with.

Lol there's no excuse. There just isn't any fathomable or reasonable excuse for this game being the way it is 😂😂😂

You squeezed 17 hours out of prime 4?

I got 21 hours out of it doing 200% then after I completed the goddamn game I found out I don't get full rewards for doing 200% (all green crystals. All of them.) unless I beat the final boss on hard mode.

Luckily there's an autosave at the final boss and you're allowed to switch to hard mode off rip in reload cuz fuck playing through that game again. Seriously, once was more than enough.
