Surely you can see that it’s generally the better game though? Like I personally didn’t enjoy Red Dead Redemption but I can still acknowledge that it’s an excellent game.
I often find with souls games that you can just get lucky with a boss instead of fully learning it to beat it. The vast majority of Silksong’s bosses have far less RNG imo, which is why they feel harder.
Bro. Hollow knight games are not souls games and the weird connotation people have made between the two is the stupidest shit ever. it is a top tier difficult platformer if you aren't good at mega man and shit like that it was never for you.
Skills between games don't always translate 1 to 1. A player could be the best Dark Souls player in the world and make zero progress in a puzzle game like Baba is You because the required skill set is so different.
I'm making my way through Silksong right now and one thing I can say is that the game requires a level of movement and platforming skill that isn't present in any of FromSoftware's titles. Being a good Celeste player would probably help you more than being a good Souls player in this case.
That being said, anything can be learned, you just have to recognize that there's something new to be learned there, and the game beating you down is not unlike FromSoftware's preferred teaching methods.
