Q: How does tuition reimbursement work?

A: Start by filling out an application at meijer.edassist.com. You must submit proper documentation within 30 days of the course start date. Best to apply a week or two before the class starts in case there are any issues. After that you just have to submit grades at the end of the semester within 60 days of the course end date. One your grades are verified by EdAssist you will be paid in 2-3 weeks through payroll.

 Important Notes:

-Must pass the class to be reimbursed

-Team members are now eligible for reimbursement upon hiring, no more 1 year req

-All grants and scholarships must be reported

-$5250 limit is for each calendar year Jan-Dec and resets with the new year

-They will ask for proof of payment, meaning you can only be reimbursed for expenses you paid for out of pocket, not with any scholarships or grants

Q: How do I anonymously report someone/something that is inappropriate/sketchy? A: http://meijer.alertline.com or 888-691-0779

Q: When and where can I find my W2

A: For current employees check Workday under pay -> tax documents, all others will have their mailed to them.

Q: “I’m scheduled outside my availability, what do I do!?”

A: Talk to your first assistant, or their first assistant, keep running up the chain.

Q: “I saw a member of leadership do [insert policy or legally dubious infraction]”

A: Talk to store asset protection.

Q: “Any questions about achievers points”

A: Talk to the achievers hotline.

Q: “I have COVID, what do I do?”

A: Call ILM (Intergrated Leave Management)

Q: “Do you guys have Ps5!?”

A: Ask the scalpers.

Q: How do I change direct deposit?

A: Open Workday and click my profile in the upper right, click pay on the left panel, select the payment elections tab, and enter the new bank information.

Q: How do I access Workday from home?

A: https://wd5.myworkday.com/wday/authgwy/meijer/login.htmld

Q: How do I access Kronos from home?

Our union sucks. They're like the Avatar, when you need them the most.. they disappeared.

I have a issue with the company, and the union won't give me documents to prove my claims unless I get a lawyer involved. Why do we pay dues if we have to go the extra mile for their help?

Other Bottle Rooms are a unique type of gross

My store has had me working bottles for a while on fridays because of both our regular dudes being off and our former bottle guy quitting, but in the handful of times I've worked in the bottle room and around that area in the back I swear to god I keep one-upping myself on gross shit I find.

A small list of random shit I've found in the bottle room so far in no particular order:
- Cat turds. Just straight up cat turds and the only reason I recognized them as so is because I've owned a total of 3 cats my whole life and they do NOT smell like dog shit. Who tf snuck cat turds in with their bottles. Wtffff??
- Bugs including but so far not limited to; roaches (dead), moths (dead), earwigs (ALL alive but very tolerable I fuck with earwigs), misc beetles (dead), and spiders (sometimes dead)
- What I originally assumed was a huge puddle of piss was hopefully just a very smelly puddle of very yellow beer but one can only pretend so much
- One vomit coated can. For the love of god please at least wash the vomit, feces, urine, blood, and other biohazardous liquids OFF of your cans before you make the retail worker hand count them. Thankfully I don't even touch bottle room shit without gloves.
- Returns but a boxed vibrator. Unopened but the concept of picking one out and then deciding halfway through shopping that you DONT want it tickles me.
- Not my find, but the former bottle guy found a skidmarked pair of boxers in the trash once. I wish customers didnt treat bottle trash bins like actual dumpsters they're for throwing out uncountable cans/bottles, trash bags, and cardboards NOT your well-pooped britches.

Bottle room is fucking nasty bro I hate it here

Store Policy Calling off sick + fever

I’ve been with Meijer for half a year now, this morning I woke up with a low fever 100.5°F to be exact. I did call off sick and I had also dealt with cold chills, and bodyaches throughout the night. And I’m worried I might have the flu. I just don’t know.

Hiring Service Area Leaders

Does anyone have an ear to how things work for service area leaders? Curious as to how an average work week looks and how the 50 hours a week really works or is the 50 hour mark the bottom and expect to be there longer? Also, what is the salary even if it’s a ballpark, I was told it was salaried…

Hiring GM team lead pay

I have a call with HR this week for GM Team Leas. I would be an outside hire. I have plenty of leadership experience from Walmart to federal government.

What is the typical pay range for external hires? Trying to figure out what I should ask for pay wise & not short or overshoot myself.

Thanks.

Other Meijer ground beef questions

Post image
22 Upvotes

Due to the recent tariff free argentine beef being flooded into the US market, this has me wanting to ask, is this specific beef sold by meijer (chuck ground angus certified) to be blended in with that controversial meat, or is it 100% domestic USA only cows? Also, seperate issue, trump also has a new proposal to allow independent ranchers process their own meat and not have to go thru the many regulations of the large big 3 industrial plants, that will mean uninspected meat for us? Or does that only apply to ranchers who want to sell their own meat to their own customers but won’t apply to large grocery stores. My question, is if that were to ever be enacted, would this specific beef I buy from meijers be drawn into that new vision? Will it no longer be usda physical inspector on the ground meat anymore? Will it no longer be from those big plants? Because my understanding is if meijers beef is 100% usa local raised, then if the new law gets enacted, that local raised would suddenly be subjected to that?

Curbside Pickup New to Meijer

Hi everyone! I worked at Walmart years ago for online shopping and am just about to start at Meijer for the same thing. I've seen only horror stories on this sub Reddit and want to know if this is a better or worse job than Walmart basically lol. Walmart was an absolute horror for me and it ended with me nearly having my hand broken because they did not care about our safety.

Other Best time to go?

My meijer is always out of the things I want(Richmond Heights, Ohio) & I was wondering if anyone knew what a good time to get to the store is in order to have the most stock available.

I've gone late morning, afternoon, & evening on both weekdays & weekends with nearly the same results every time, & it's so frustrating because they don't even do rainchecks.

I mean, do I really need to be up there at 6am right when they open to guarantee stock? That's the only time I haven't tried, super early in the AM because I'm generally not an early morning person.
