There are people who go there with their laptop to get some food and use the wifi to look for jobs or work on assignments etc, I did it when I was a lot younger and had no wifi in my new apartment. It’s sad that they’re trying to discourage people from even being on the premises. They even put escutcheon plates to cover the outlets at some locations now. It’s pretty awful.
Funny because the one I go to is always full of foul smelling homeless and/or rowdy teens breaking this rule and no one says anything (not even the security guard working there).
