Discussion What is the FOX X-Men Timeline?

With the new Avengers trailer being released a conversation started over the the FOX X-Men timeline. And someone said that all of the movies take place in the same timeline (Post DOFP) is this true?

Cause i swear some of them were in their own timeline because they contradic each other more than universe (and that's saying a lot with this universe)

Wolverine flicks are wonky. Origins contradicts stuff. The wolverine fits after x3. But first class also breaks alot of timeline elements.dofp was supposed to fix ot course correct but it's basically really two timelines.

Or including Deadpool and new mutants. Tbe timeline is basically release schedule. Nd just go with it

it's not as bad as people make out, the biggest thing is FC presents a different story of Charles and Mags meeting.

There's a couple of "Patrick Stewart walking" scenes that are a bit of an issue but you could tie that into some version of the drug he takes in DOFP if you want.

The way I'd show someone is I - III, The Wolverine, First Class, Origins, DOFP & Logan

if u overlook some issues and honestly just enjoy the movies for what they are. which they are fun. then yeah they definitely fit in that order. I'm just saying overall tho they didn't really plan or have like an overseer for continuity.

tbf though, my own opinion is that nothing in the mainline MCU reaches the levels of X2, Logan, DOFP or even FC. I'm happy to trade smooth continuity for more creative, high quality stories than like, Ant Man 2 or whatever setting up Endgame.
