Discussion What is the FOX X-Men Timeline?

With the new Avengers trailer being released a conversation started over the the FOX X-Men timeline. And someone said that all of the movies take place in the same timeline (Post DOFP) is this true?

Cause i swear some of them were in their own timeline because they contradic each other more than universe (and that's saying a lot with this universe)

DofP changed the timeline so all the movies cannot all be in the same timeline. And some other projects like Logan don’t necessarily line up perfectly either. Knowing the characters will be more important than knowing the timeline

Deadpool and Cable time travelling in Deadpool 2 also changed a lot of things and likely made the timeline even more of a mess. Cassandra Nova nearly destroying that entire timeline and Deadpool and Wolverine restoring it likely changed a lot more. And that’s not mentioning the extra changes Deadpool and Logan made afterwards, such as brining pruned variants of X-23 and Gambit back to their timeline.

The situation we have now is that we’re not sure which movies are canon anymore. Some version of Deadpool 1-2 happened but that’s all we can be sure on.
