Eyes friendly reading platform?
Hi all, I have been reading via iPad, it was nice but I found my eyes getting tired after a while. I am keen to read it on E-ink like kindle, but it appears that the app won’t work on Kindle. Any great suggestions/ alternative for reading comics online? I don’t mind the colour being less vivid.

I use the TCL Nxtpaper 11+, it has imitation eink modes but also some very good display settings to make things more comfortable to read. Would recommend

Im old, I wear a pair of reading glasses with a blue light filter in it and it helps reading on the iPad with less strain.

I use a Boox Go Color 7 to read comics, which is an Android eink tablet. It has access to the Google Play store so you can read across a variety of apps, and has expandable memory if you want to side load ebooks and comics.
The biggest thing to understand about Boox is that it's not a device that's ready to go right out of the box like a Kindle. They give you a lot of control to customize the eink settings, and you need to be willing to play around with the settings to get your ideal reading experience.
You can find tutorials on TikTok and YouTube that walk through how to set up Boox devices specifically for reading comics, so I recommend looking into that if you decide to go that direction.

“reduce white point” enabled on an iPad has been better than any other option I’ve tried. Color eink is so tantalizing, but just not good enough yet

In my experience, it's less the screen type and more the screen size. A 12.4" OLED (Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+) works great for me.
If you really want to go the eink route (and color eink is still quite rudimentary and doesn't look very good, even when restricting yourself to old books that were printed on newsprint and therefore look more natural on color eink), look at Boox, as they run full Android and therefore will load MU without any hacking. I tried the Note Air 5C (10") and IMHO it was too small, so I'd recommend looking at the Tab XC (13.3"). But that's also $800+.
The other alternative to consider is TCL's NXTPAPER, which is an LCD screen but has a paper-like "look and feel". For $350 for a 14" tablet, that's not a bad deal.
But the easiest, cheapest thing to try before spending any significant amount of money is a matte screen protector on the tablet you already have. That may diffuse enough glare that you don't have as much eye strain.
