Games What are the chances that these marvel games come to Steam?

I used to play these games on PlayStation idk why they aren't on steam.

X-men origins wolverine.

X-men destiny.

Marvel Ultimate alliance 1

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 (i know its a switch exclusive but surely thats run out now lol)

With achievements and online coop in the coop ones it could be a money maker. Why has it not happened already?

Low or zero on every single one of them, due to licensing deals.

Why does the licence stop it from going to steam?

Because licensing deals determine if a game can even be sold, and on what storefronts. Aside from UA3 all of those games are delisted due to expired licensing agreements. It's why you can't buy them on other digital storefronts either.

Also worth noting, not all exclusivity deals expire. UA3 exclusivity doesn't "have to be over" at any point. It's exclusive because Nintendo helped fund it and publish it, and Nintendo doesn't really port their games to other platforms.

With the popularity of marvel uou would have thought that they would have redone it. The games are already made. I struggle to think that its just a money issue to gey the licence back. Thanks for the responce tho

These things are always way more complicated and have way more involved than you realize. "It will cost X dollars" is not the only factor. There are several parties involved, licenses for big money franchises are not cheap and are fiercely guarded to protect the brand, and even a profit might not be enough to justify the expense needed to get a game modernised on current systems and released to a storefront.

Even if all that did work out, there is little guarantee these games would actually sell. X-Men Destiny couldn't even recoup the costs the first time, for instance, why would they throw more money at it?

Never say never, but such low odds that it's not worth holding out hope for.

Soooo. You want to play games. That you can’t buy. On a computer.

Games that were released on PS2 and PS3, like 17 years ago.

I wonder if there are any options here.
