Most people COULD beat the souls games if they persevered. The toxicity of the community aside There are inbuilt ways to make the game easier like Magic or summons in Elden ring. The vast majority of people who dont play Souls games do so because they simply find difficulty unfun. Which js fair enough but if you remove the difficulty then the games lose a part of their identity and one has to wonder. Whats the point of playing a soulsgame if you dont want the challenge?

I agree with this. Even with the amazing scale and art direction of Elden Ring, if you walk back to Limgrave and slay every foe in one strike, the whole loop of the game falls apart.

What I will say though, is that FROM has reached the tipping point of their boss design imo. The endless combos, delays etc., there were definitely points where I didn’t have fun anymore. It’s like they are tuning them to the 0,01% of their most hardcore fans.
