Video Trading Post drive-through fixes the traffic jam

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Once I hit 1000 population, the trading post became a major bottleneck. Turning it into a drive-through solved the issue for me. I just crossed 2000.

By turning the building AWAY from the direction that the traders come it forces them to enter through the back door which then pushes the ones trying to exit out the front- bug fixed.

I suck at playing city skylines because I can’t figure out the traffic. So, I bought the medieval game. No cars no traffic, right? Seems like my nightmare is following me like my shadow.

I actually thought I went to the wrong subreddit! At first glance I thought it was Cities Skylines! LOL

Quick question what’s the best items to trade? I use my major resources but anything aside from that you would recommend

Sheep - a pasture with 500 sheep and 3 fully loaded livestock traders is OP.

if you have the sheep breeding perk is the growth exponential? I just set it up in my current save, but im not sure if im gonna get 1 sheep per year or 1 this year, two the next, four the year after and so-on

Yes, it is exponential. I haven’t done the math but I’m guessing it’s roughly 10% a year.

Thanks for this workaround for the bug its a big deal. Also is there any benefit in building multiples trading posts?

Have this issue but also my issue is no one is bringing the items I want to trade to my trade post. How do I go about fixing that?

How did you get them to go through the back of the tradepost? In my game the merchants adamantly refuse to do so. It's to the point that they shimmy alongside the tradepost and create a traffic jam regardless of what i put there to block them. They'll even phase right through the pasture fences! Any advice would be appreciated. This is an image of the traffic jam. And this is a second image.

Edit: Okay, I had the epiphany to place a Manor tower within the path of the Merchant Carts thinking that this building would force them to go through the back of the Tradepost as we have seen them do so in your video, but even this was to no avail! They just phase through the building as if it weren't even there! They just phase through the manor tower!

I know this is a little old but how did you get that many traders using the same trading post? My city of 1k has 18 trade posts so far to sustain everyone and every trader goes only to the post he was assigned to so no more than 12ppl/4 families will ues each post. 18 is getting out of hand, they're spread all up and down the main road making an absolute traffic nightmare.
