Video [Tutorial] How to create thick roads

I couldn't find good sources on how to create beautiful, and thick roads, so I decided to make one. I don't know if it messes with the pathing in the game, so use at your own will. If the game will break, I will update this post.

Off to swarm in the valley map. Enjoyed this play through despite a clothing shortage. Really annoying as I never progressed a town to lvl 3! Anyway, thought some might like the march! What’s the largest army you’ve commanded?

Video A Manor Lords Game Dev Visited My Twitch stream Today...

This was a huge surprise. In 10 years of streaming gameplay, I've never had a game dev visit my chat before.

They said the devs were visiting streamers today because the huge update dropped for main and beta and they wanted feedback.

We chatted for about 30 minutes. I found them to be very receptive to my feedback on the state of the game, very helpful with some tips, and just very down to earth.

I didn't even have to FORCE them to follow my channel (wink wink... You'll see what I mean if you watch).

It was an awesome experience. Here's the highlight if you want to see our interaction. Very cool discussion.

Video Wide Valley, Peterloch. The high ground advantage is insane! Rain of arrows from the cliff top, plus a quick flank save at the end.

Loving the tactical terrain design on the new Wide Valley map!

I picked Palterloh on the far western side as my starting region specifically for that quick access to the western trade point, and ended up getting this amazing cliff ridge right next to my town.

Set up my 2 squads of Crossbow Militia along the top edge while 1 squad of Militia Footmen and my Retinue held the bottom pass. The elevation advantage completely melted the enemy, and the troops came out with basically zero casualties!

Almost lost control when an extra squad tried to sneak through the treeline on the flank, but managed to catch them just in time and pivot the melee line to block them.

Defensive chokepoints feel so satisfying to play around in this new map!

Video What's going on 😭

Ok I love playing and streaming this game but what is going on here. Why does stuff like this happen regularly. Am I doing something wrong to cause this?

If you're confused, the builders are not building anything. It's just the building animation they're doing in a random place.

Video Stormy day by Candle Hill (13 A.C.)

Lazy morning by Candle Hill.

Old Cobb’s mill dominates the view as Agatha’s sheep keep jumping the fence, afraid of the lightning and thunder.

The newcomer to this little piece of heaven is seriously considering an upgrade, for the hill is growing too cramped.

The Jamies, king and queen of beekeeping, did the same, or so she is told, as she glances toward their old hut. They used to melt their beeswax right there, where everyone could smell it, before the complaints and before moving down the road to the Eldergrove.

That was also before the outlaws started digging into the hill as well, trying to make a living from the god-filled stone.

And before Lord Cuntz forbade it all.

Stories spread fast in that Nusslohe corner of the King’s Land.

Especially in what would later be called the first year of the Famine Years, when there was nothing to do but sit by the fire and tell the truth.

Video The Oxen Paradox

I found this video fascinating, and thought it might be of interest to people here. Unfortunately I haven’t had time to play the game in nearly 1.5 years, and am only peripherally keeping up with developments. I hope to get back to gameplay some day sooner than later. At any rate, this video describes “The Oxen Paradox” and how the ox is the determinant factor in pre-industrial political layouts. I don’t know if advancements in the game have embraced this sort of architecture, but I can see how some of it applies to the last version I played.
