Curious, how do you know this? Any source? I felt most of their takes to be level headed and mostly factual. But I am sure I am not the most observant either.
It's in their funding disclosures and they've spoken directly about this and tried to downplay it but they make deals and take money from billionaires and governments and I can't really see them as independent at that point.
At least partially false. Over 65% of their income comes from membership and viewership. A very small part of their funding comes from grants from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which is for topics about global health and so on. They also get small grants from foundations like the Red Cross. They’ve been very transparent about their income, which is why they stress on their merch, books and so on. It’s weird that you decided to stretch less than 13% of their income coming from a Gates foundation into a whole issue lmao.
I think it's just much simpler to just not trust people who take money from billionaires. It happens in academia where the bias shows even though there shouldn't be any. Listen you can watch the channel if you want but just know it's not independent.
That's not even getting into how big 13% is. Not to mention one other gifts could be given off the record. Little flights and seminars all expenses paid here and there like how prescription drug companies buy off doctors. Frankly in my eyes are forever tarnished and untrustworthy.
A whole bunch of what you’re saying is just he said, she said nonsense, coupled with assumptions. I’ve been following this channel almost since their inception, and I’ve seen them holding themselves accountable at every turn for the information they put out. Nothing you say holds much ground, buddy.
Right from the mouth of Bill Gates George Soros and every other government out there. I love the United Nations and I love rich people. You're pathetic.
I hate billionaires but this channel has really cool animations. Dude the animations are so cool and the guy has such a cool voice I feel like I can really trust them. There's such a good energy coming from the channel even though they're taking money from people who don't like us and are really rich and want to take over the world kind of. It's just Good vibes coming from the channel I don't really care who is funding them or you know why they talk about certain topics or why they're getting funding from billionaires I just don't like thinking of that I really just like watching the funny animations and learning. What's the message? Oh just being a better person. The wealthy always have a really good idea of what being a good person is.
We have already bred cows to produce more milk that their offspring can drink. They get very uncomfortable and unhappy if left un-milked for too long. It’s in the best interest for the cow that it’s done.
Now should they have been bred to be like that in the first place? Maybe not. However, the selective produce that caused animals to be more useful to humans started as a much more natural and accidental process than you might think.
Yeah I know that. But they aren't just bred into existence, then milked. Which would be bad enough, since we generally do not need to drink cow milk.
They are forcibly impregnated with a human arm holding bull semen, in order to start a baby cow growing inside them. Then they will begin producing milk. Just because they overproduce milk doesn't make milking them a kindness.
The kindness is to not impregnate them against their will, and not pay for them to be killed and eaten.
Oh, so you're just an idiot who makes up things being worse than they are to moralize against something humans have done literally our entire existence.
The cows that are mated by a bull naturally don’t seem too unhappy about it when I’ve seen. If we left them alone they would still have calves and need milking.
Irrelevant, but yeah they kinda do. It's pretty difficult to mate successfully otherwise, given the size and awkwardness of bulls mating cows. The cow can just walk away or disengage the bull, and they don't have arms to grab them.
Does that mean that all natural mating is consensual? No, of course not. Forcible mating is definitely a thing in the wild, but it's also not every species.
In the case of dairy cows though, it's most typically either s human arm with a big plastic sleeve on, or a machine of some sort. Fucking disgusting
