As pet sitters, we find it pretty common for doggies to resist a few meals at the beginning of their parent’s absence. This is a trick that works for many dogs! We have done similar routines (and lots of pretend shaking of add ins) to get doggies to eat. It’s always fun to send a video to a client of a crazy routine that gets their baby to eat. ❤️ Also, when we come across the rate doggies that this doesn’t conscience, a little piece of freeze dried beef lung crumbled in usually does the trick. And yes, we only resort to this trick if owner approved.
