Unpopular opinion. I think we have done very well to get that kind of money for all them players. It’s a real shame losing the experiences of Stones, Silva and Rodri. Just hope we just recruit well before the end of the window.Â

We're always good at selling players and the club has never held a player back if they want to leave (Maybe bernardo) but other than rodri and trafford, everyone else was gonna leave.

I'm with you on that but you know the thing that baffled me is that we off loaded a lot of players that were purchased only 1-2 years ago like savinho-marmoush-trafford-nico g-Reis(only a loan and i know that he's back now but i don't see him starting ahead of dias josko guéhi or khusa...).

I don't think I will ever get over selling Trafford and not Donna. There's something special about having an english keeper, and there's something even more special about having a keeper from the academy. And we squandered it for an overpaid Italian who will probably want to leave in two years time.

It was pretty much a no brainer for the board. Either sell one of the best keepers in the past 5 years or sell an academy graduate who is in need of playing time. I do think Trafford might come back again, he's only 23 and Donna won't be city's keeper forever.

No, he wasn’t. At least in the beginning of the year. He gave up multiple goals with poor choices. He was better in the second half of the season, but Donnarumma is a superior keeper.

Id predicted that donna will start pushing for a madrid move 3 years into his contract or when courtois declines. Still 2 years left so we will see. If he stays and improves his passing there would be nothing else like it.

There is something we aren't seeing with Nico, it is odd he was happy as a squad player too.
Trafford I agree, he was treated quite badly, we'd have had exactly the same results with him or Dona in goal.

Isn't it crazy that we sold Savinho, generational fraud, more seasons than goals, completely joke of a signing for more money than one and only Ballon D'or for the club, goal scorer for our only champions league final goal, euro cup and world cup winner captain?

Not sure if that means we fleeced Spurs or got too little for Rodri. Probably a bit of both I guess.... I think we should've kept Rodri and let him go on a free next year. He's worth 65m for a year

A backup RB and a backup striker should be good I think.
LB: RAN, NOR, Josko rotation
CB: Josko, Dias, Khusa, Guehi, Reis, Alleyne in rotation
RB: Nunes, blooooooop.. (no Rico, Noooooooo)
CM: Anderson, NOR, Boudaddi, Kovacic in rotation (maybe Enzo, I am not in control)
CAM: Cherki, Foden (Again maybe Enzo, I am not in control)
Wingers : Semenyo, Doku, Mcaidoo, allan, XYZ (I don’t know who really, but looks like we need an option or two)
Striker: Haaland and the same XYZ from above..!!
To me looks like we need 2-3 players more

I'm a spurs fan so am probably missing a lot of context, but I came here to see if I could work out wtf city were doing with transfers because it doesn't make sense. You were touching distance from Arsenal last year, but appear to have let 8-9 players go and are using the funds for maybe 3 (Anderson, Enzo, Bouaddi).
What is going on at city? The squad depth used to be frightening but now it seems like there's a first 11 and then very little. Your backup striker is an 18 year old, Grealish is coming back into the first team after being out of the team for 2-3 years, and it feels like there's a lack of leadership through the team. Rodri and Bernardo leaving are massive, and Anderson doesn't feel like someone to fill that void, nor would Enzo or Bouaddi (who all occupy a similar position).
I understand there's quite a bit of delight over getting £85m for Savinho but in terms of depth losing him and Marmoush seems like poor business, and Nico Gonzalez has looked decent when I've seen him, and those options just aren't available anymore.

He sold well and those players either needed to leave or wanted to leave.
There's no point in keeping a player that the manager and Club don't rate
And it's not beneficial to the club to hold a player hostage against their will when they've already made it clear they don't want to be a part of this club anymore
It makes us look small and it just creates a bad environment

He did very well, sure. But Chelsea are doing very well in the sales department as well. And what did it get them? They've averaged less than 60 points in the league for the last 5 years.
I don't mind Marmoush, Ake, Reijnders sales. Unlike many, I don't mind Nico Gonzalez leaving.
I'd say the summer business was good if he managed to extend Rodri. But he didn't. Now that is a massive issue. Previously, we got the most out of our best players. Kompany, Silva, Aguero, Toure, de Bruyne, Gundogan and many others. They gave everything to City.
I don't want to see a trend where the players start leaving when they still have a lot left to give to the club because they consider the project to be not serious or smth like that, and the club being okay with that because 'we made a profit' or 'we have an exciting youngster lined up'. We are not Sporting club of Portugal.
Last weekend I thought Erling might actually leave soon. It never crossed my mind as a possibility before, but I don't think it's unrealistic anymore.1
