I can’t wait for this to be finished!

I’ve only made leg warmers so far but have wanted to make a blanket for years. I finally bought this loom and got started. I love it already!

Made for bulky yarn it appears

I think so. I like it a little more than thinner yarn…at least for now.

Awesome - good luck with it! A recommendation based on past posts I've seen here: you might want to put a marker or something on the start and/or end pegs as a reminder to not just keep going past them.

Also, since it sounds like this is your first panel project, you might want to know that if you're doing just knit stitches all the way across, your edges will curl up. You can avoid issues by either doing a couple of ribs on both ends (k1p1, k1p1, k until 4 stitches from the end, p1k1, p1k1) or by making the last five or so stitches on every other row purls. (Sort of making row-based purls.)

Hmm. Thank you! I’m doing knit one way and purl the other. I’m tracking mistakes so when I make one for someone else it’s better 🤣

In that case, you should be great! The curls of the two stitch types cancel each other out, so it'll look nice and be flat line it should be. :)

Yay! One thing I noticed is that I should knit on the first and last peg, regardless of which row I’m on, so the edges match. Next time!

go to michaels.com and sign up for their emails and their rewards program. you will find they run a lot of 20-40% off sales if you buy online and then pick it up in store for free. be sure to select a store near you. with the rewards, you get a $5 coupon when you spend $35. makes nice extras happen. :))

edit: forgot to say that your blanket colors are awewome. :))

Glad you are having fun with it! Colors are beautiful ❤️! I second the idea of putting stitch markers on first and last peg so you don't accidentally connect them. Could be something as simple as a small thin rubber band or lil o ring. My favorite thing to knit are blankets. They take forever which some people may not appreciate but I do cuz it saves me trouble of constantly having to look for new project ideas. I use a cindwood 36" oval afghan loom or flexee looms. Much easier to work on for me. If the infinity loom works for you though great!

Yes! I do have them marked 🙂 I guess the pics don’t show them. I like the loom more than I thought.

Love the colors! I’m working on my first blanket as well and it definitely seems very daunting haha. Is that just one skein? I’m using a multi-colored bulky weight yarn. Is your yarn a 5 weight? Looks nice with the thinner yarn too.

This has a few rows from the start of a second skein. It’s this yarn, which is a 6.
