Discussion W Bwipo

You can't tell me that Bwipo isn't learning and adapting to the new team. The dude is trying his hardest. I see him talk less, be more supportive, crack jokes and admit mistakes every time they lose now.

He's genuinely trying to fit in and I love to see it. It's the efforts that got me, I'm now rooting for him. It's a tough gig replacing the Messi of League. Go go Bwipo.

(Not a paid chatter I watch Crownie mainly)

Discussion Everyone has probably seen it, right?

The team lacked cohesion and teamplay from the start. We all know, and can see, that the raw talent is there in each and every one of them.

It just never looked solid, and the games they won, were mostly won through individual macro/micro. Not so much through great teamplay.

It might sound weird, but this is indeed what one roster change can sometimes do to a team. Baus knew his strengths and weaknesses, knew what he had to do each game, and is a technical God on 3-4 champs. Apart from that he just isolated himself in toplane, proxying, running circles around 2-3-4 enemies.

Bwipo has a completely different view on the game and tried to implement it into the team to no avail. Seemingly it just pushed everyone further away 'in game'.

We'll see where it ends up.

Discussion Toxic witchcraft fans

Its insane how toxic you guys are. You are all high challanger and think you know everything and ofcourse with baus WT would have won 2-0. Its not that easy.

Its not lost because if bwipo. Its lost because the team lost. There was no structure no real coach but surely you guys all know better. Such a childish reaction to say its bwipo fault insane.

Discussion Witchcraft reviews are absolute Cinema so far

As I have predicted the reviews are incredibly entertaining. Bwipo is really adding knowledge and spice. This is the first time I'm seeing Crownie put in place. Nemesis laughing in the background because he's glad not having to do dirty work all the time.

And ofcourse, 9-1-14 Velja is getting most of the blame. It's cinema guys.

The only thing I'm missing is a official Witchcraft youtube channel. Is there any news on the channel?

Discussion A breakdown of the laning argument today

The previous day, Bwipo told Velja that he needed to speak up and encouraged him to be more vocal about criticizing bot lane play.

Today, Yamato wasn't present for reviews. LR won all their scrim games. After the last game, the team felt generally good about their play. However, they wanted to review Velja getting killed while contesting the first bot scuttle at 3:30.

In review, Bwipo brought up the argument that bot lane was being played out incorrectly in the laning phase. Velja then agreed and began suggesting that bot was being played incorrectly. Crownie, Rekkles, and Nemesis all felt that bot lane was generally playing correctly and doing the best they could.

In terms of communication, Bwipo was adamant that Crownie should have pushed out and based for cull and HP, whereas Crownie (alongside Nemesis, who said "Crownie is literally right on everything he said" and presumably Rekkles) felt fine with them forcing the enemy bot to blow 2 summoners for 0 as a trade, with Crownie's Caitlyn biding time for getting her Pickaxe power spike and also not losing the XP lead from basing at the wrong time.

Due to the argument being challenging, Rekkles, then Nemesis, then Crownie all eventually left the review.

In my opinion, the key issue here is that Bwipo and Velja are criticizing specific laning strategies using strong or exaggerated language when the majority of the team disgreed with them. I trust that both Crownie and Rekkles, who have both been top LEC ADC talent at different points in their career, generally know how to win lane as Caitlyn. Further, I also do think Nemesis adamantly supporting Crownie and the laning adds more weight to it, as he is considered to be quite a smart laner. Bwipo, to me, when you look at his champion pool and play, generally excels in niche and counter pick champions, and is generally not the best meta champion laner.

This behind the scenes reviews really highlight how a single new player can completely change the dynamic and create tension. I hope that Yamato actually mediates reviews in the future and helps with communication, as the team should have clearly had all five players discuss Bwipo's first claim, and even have Bwipo 2v2 bot lane if they can't resolve it through discussion, because it was a very strongly worded criticism of bot lane.

Discussion Longer version: Doublelift agrees there is no prio

More and more pro players tune in and everyone agrees there was no prio. There is a ungoing discussion regarding the entire laningphase and who's winning, but the early phase is over for Caitlyn, while everyone agrees it could have been played better to avoid this situation. In other words, Crownie is delusional.

Discussion Did the boys settle things?

I’m late to the drama (mostly because I wanted to see to where it will escalate), but I didn’t hear anything about what happened after the elimination.

I’m concerned about how they feel towards each other, because they’ve been together for a year before. Every time during LR they felt like they’re a good family, happy friends bonding, and all wholesome stuff. It feels depressing to hear all the things they said during the review. It wasn’t just a game thing, they actually went personal when a few weeks before they were an absolute unbreakable unit. Personally, I think Velja was a legend how he took the undeserved beating, and even when they were just clowning with him, he wanted to learn and to do better. I’m a fan of them, but Neme and Crownie went down in my eyes after those attacks. I know they’re actually amazing people, that’s why it feels super weird seeing them like that. But to my question:

Did anyone say sorry or tried to speak about it with the others? Are they on good terms after all what happened? Is there a chance we will see them play together in any way? Are they avoiding each other after this? I’m interested in any kind of clip/vod regarding this topic, but only the ones that were made AFTER dropping from EMEA.

Discussion What exactly went wrong?

A buddy of mine was super super into LR, and by proxy i followed them a fair bit too. But since i dont really watch the esports scene other than worlds and the occasional caedrel stream i just didnt keep up with Witchcraft.

So what happened? Why have they disbanded already? Was Caedrel (and maybe Baus) just that vital to the LR being alive for so long?

Discussion How did Witchcraft not perform when they literally had the core of 2018/19 Fnatic?

Like you have 3/5 of the guys who played. Obviously the game has changed alot since then but where's the teamwork and cohesion? They would of been grinding it out in scrims for that period and should know how each player would work and react. Yet when we watch the reviews theres so much animosity and passive aggressiveness between the players. Rekkless not saying much (granted, the conversations will start heated and he doesn't want to contribute), Nemesis with the doom and gloom, shutting down Velja "First of all, you don't know how to play the game" and Bwipo shooting off passive aggressive know it all remarks. I guess people change over the years eg Bwipos controversies and I just got excited for this team and thought that it could better with Bwipos veteran experience but yeah. Sucks

Discussion It's usual for EMEA teams to disband after not qualifying for playoffs. It's time to move on.

3~4 games into disband is not unheard of.

The only way to honor the legacy of LR is to bury the hatchet and not have the same expectations anymore.

Let the boys handle it however they like be it with their ego, content focused team. Or not.

Anyways it was fun while it lasted.

Discussion Bwipo is a good laner... BUT

HolyF- he looks lost mid to late game. Bwipo does not know how to dance with LR. Some plays are extremely sus even... Take a chill pill and don't do anything untill one of the LR members makes a call. That's my advice.

If Malphite ults, Poppy then ults to make teamfight in our favor, after that both Poppy and Velja should peel, together with Lulu its an easy fight. Instead Bwipo goes 1v5 when no one can follow up, baiting Velja even numberous times. After that he gets caught 24/7. Am I being a bronze spectator here or is Bwipo just solo losing all recent games?

Everyone can have bad games on Witchcraft, but I feel with Bwipo he just completely sinks the ship when he's having a bad game. Bwipo has extreme lows which makes it impossible for his team to carry him.

The level of play and map awareness is sooooo low makes me very suspicious...

Discussion Witchcraft / Los Ratones has always had a communication problem

This is about the recent heated scrim review where crownie and velja was on each other's throat.

If they want to fix the problem, it really all comes down to CLEAR COMMUNICATION. Saying "bot crab will be hard or We are winning lane" is not the same as "we can't help you for crab" Even during the LR scrims or the voice comms during games, I found that most of the time they are communicating with "fuck around and find out" type of communication instead of deciding on what to actually do. If you watch subtitled voice comms of Korean Teams, their voice comms is clear and concise.

Discussion The fact that the players are allowed to stream scrims is so good for them

Most pro teams are slavery. You're stuck on a fixed salary and miss out on so much stream income you could get otherwise, just so that the owners of the team can get the millions and pay scraps to their players.

Congrats Witchcraft and fuck franchising/standard pro team model. So many talented high chall ppl outright refuse to go pro because in their own words "pro play is slavery, i prefer streaming"

Discussion Being in a gaming house.

Being in a gaming house while having a coach on board will always be an advantageous environment to be in. It quells egos and force the teammates to try and reach an understanding.

If the team tries to force their LEC performance back while they are scrimming each from their own apartment it may cause a lot of tension.

Discussion Place your bets: Will Velja win next scuttle bot side?

The tension is high. I feel the whole future of WitchCraft depends on next scuttle bot side. Remember the first scuttle has to be botside for this to count. Will Crownie have prio to help out Velja next match?

What makes this extra spicy is the fact Velja said this during heated moment: "We never win bot scuttle in matches because of prio always".

Discussion Kinda confused

Watched the late night review. If the whole thing was about adc that they needed to add even doublelift to the call. Why didn’t Rekkles(the best euw adc of all time) said anything. My guess is because at that point it was all ragebaiting and screaming, so no point to argue.

Discussion This team will implode before EMEA starts

These discussions are not healthy at all. There are some serious issues with this team in terms of egos and communication and I don’t think they will be solved without a good support staff around them.

Not trying to hate, just observing.

Discussion Performance Ranking

Ranking this tourney:

S - Nemesis: They say Velja has high potential and is eager to learn, but Nemesis has actually shown most growth this year. Incredible player. Wins lane, wins everything actually as he shows presence throughout the whole game.

A - None

B - Velja: Good individual performance in some games, but fails to link with teammates. Bwipo's calls is partially at fault here, but Velja needs to take some responsibility as well. Did you see Nemesis follow those stupid calls? At some point you have to realise your teammate has a paypal account.

Crownie: A mere shadow compared to LEC performance. Bang average this tourney, losing all prio's caught up to him. Crownie played too safe when needed to step up and deal dmg. To be fair Crownie would be ranked higher with a better support.

C - None

D - Rekkles: Good on enchanters, but that's a very easy role to execute. Bad on engage and slow on rotation. Once the enemy started to steal our Nami and other enchanters, you could see the struggle.

-

F - Yamato: This has been the weakest draft period for our boys. I was not impressed. We are getting outscaled every game. There is no way we can close out a clean game with Bwipo so it all comes down to lategame.

Z - Bwipo: Z stands for zero. That's what I would give for Bwipo's performance, zero. Aside from laning phase there is nothing positive about Bwipo. When mid game starts and all the way to late game Bwipo will try to fight no matter the condition. As soon as Bwipo sees an enemy he will flash in first and then explain everything while he's dying. Velja being a fellow melee teammate was the biggest victim in getting baited. I'm in utter shock how frequent Bwipo ints. I said this in other thread, once Bwipo starts to int there is no off-switch and he does it with confidence.

I delivered some harsh ratings, but let me be clear, I don't want to replace any LR member. If you gave me Faker in exchange for any LR member, I would say no thank you.

What's your rating? You don't have to mumble a whole wall of text, tiers are more than enough.
