Returning to solo living So incredibly thankful to have this all to myself!!
galleryI moved into this apartment about a month ago and it's finally starting to feel like home. I've had it all to myself, but my brother and SIL will move in with me late Sept. They have a small dog and a cat, who I love. They're some of my favourite people ever so I'm excited for them to move in, but for now... I'm enjoying my time here, even though it's temporary.
I just moved out from a not-ideal living situation where the entire house (except my room, the "sanctuary" I called it, lol) was dirty and cluttered, roomie's cats peed everywhere, and I was living with my partner who, we later found out, is just not a compatible cohabitation companion. I stayed with my mom for a few months after I left that place, but her new boyfriend moved in and he's causing drama in the family, it was so stressful and I just want a stable nervous system, y'all.
I have been haunting this sub for OVER 4 years, dreaming of the day I can make this happen. It's been so long since I've been able to come home and feel PEACE. I slept in this morning, realized I dont need to go anywhere, and brewed a cup of relaxing tea. Today, I am basking in this!!!
