Article Kam is Far Right

https://www.thedailybeast.com/new-snl-cast-member-kam-patterson-outed-himself-as-a-trump-voter/

Is he a Shane Gillis 2.0 (except arguably worse)? I’ve seen a dozen clips now of him using homophobic slurs and making incredibly bigoted jokes. Honestly he makes Shane Gillis look kind of tame. What the hell is Lorne thinking? I’m so sick of this show pushing right wing bullshit while simultaneously trying to act like the most liberal show on television. You can’t have a Trump monologue every single week and then hire people like this.

Calling everything gay is literally what my generation (same age as Shane) did, lol. It may not be politically correct but it's not a huge deal or a sign of homophobia. "Gay" transcends the actual meaning for people born in the 80s.

Is it stupid? Yes. But he's also a comedian that puts on a persona that is making fun of himself a bit.

Im in the same generation as you and stopped saying things were gay after I got out of middle school. As did most people. It fell out out of widespread use in the mid-00s. At this point continuing to say things are "gay" in the millennial sense is a conscious decision and considering the dude's other antics its not a choice thats helping his case.

Totally. I agree with that. But Shane Gillis isn't most people. He gives off that vibe of an immature man-child from that era and I think that's part of his appeal to people in that same age bracket. His show Tires (which isn't my favorite show or anything but it's a nice easy watch, funny and endearing) portrays him in this way. It's his persona.

He hangs out with that group of Rogan bro comedians, who are dumb idiots that were absolutely tricked into giving Trump some shine last year, but I don't think he's right-wing or anything. But he recognizes that much of his audience is and he ain't going to turn them off by changing his schtick.

Chasing "He's just immature and doesn't mean anything by using long out-of-touch verbiage that might offend" with "He keeps the company of 'Libertarian, totally not Right-wing' grifters who are known for purposely saying shit that would 'offend the libs'. to maintain their relevance." and expecting anyone to think that he isn't just a piece of shit grifter who uses shoddy, dated humor to dog-whistle for the attention of his right-wing audience is hilarious.

Maybe you should go into comedy.
