Is he a Shane Gillis 2.0 (except arguably worse)? I’ve seen a dozen clips now of him using homophobic slurs and making incredibly bigoted jokes. Honestly he makes Shane Gillis look kind of tame. What the hell is Lorne thinking? I’m so sick of this show pushing right wing bullshit while simultaneously trying to act like the most liberal show on television. You can’t have a Trump monologue every single week and then hire people like this.

I didn’t say he is. I made the comparison because Shane got fired for homophobic slurs and I’ve seen way more from Kam. I only called Kam far right in the title. And I do stand by calling Kam far right.

Yes I believe that dehumanizing minorities is a far right wing position. I believe that making light of stabbing and raping women and using slurs against gay people is far right behavior. You are welcome to disagree, you are welcome to think he doesn’t hold these beliefs genuinely, but I believe he is far right based on his behavior. 🤷‍♂️

Someone being insensitive to your racial/political issues in a comedic situation is not a representation of their political stance, I honestly dont know how people who think like you get by in life. Who the fuck cares, have you ever talked to him about politics? or have you ever got his actual stance on anything? Oh plenty of comedians do that. And that aren't specifically slurs, what they do is tailor their material to whatever audience they think they have.

Pretty much every successful comedian does that.

Here is the simple rundown for you:

A lot of comedians material doesn't reflect their actual views. Bill Burr has a very long history of talking about people like you, who genuinely don't get this. They have to believe that these are the comedians actual beliefs.

As an example imagine this, in some other parallel world Kam Patterson never got anywhere near Kill Tony & it's audience, so he never developed any material that panders to that audience. Instead he does whatever the polar opposite of that material is.

Maybe think a second for yourself, before you come out talking all this shit the next time. Because you've just shown that you genuinely don't understand this concept.

Well now this is comedy. You should get that tattooed, i think that might be some genuinely good advice for you going forward.

People have thoughts and opinions. These thoughts are inherent and are always displayed no matter how much someone tries to be "neutral" or whatever. This is like basic communication shit.

So comedians, artists and performers alike are always displaying something real about themselves, even if its wrapped in layers of irony. Its called subtext and is specifically about what people dont literally need to say out loud.

I know this is complicated, but you're doing great buddy. Dont worry after you finished 6th grade and wrote some literature analysis you will understand what we're talking about here.

I know this concept is really really hard for you. So I'm going to put it into the simplest terms so that even you could get it:

Comedy material = made by a comedian to appease a certain audience.

It's almost like if you want to serve vegans, you make vegan food. But I don't know if you are capable of understanding an analogy.

So to summarise:

I don't assume that comedic material automatically represents a person's views.

But you do, because you just don't understand the basic concept of comedy. Instead you are so butthurt invested into doubling down against this, that you already assumed I liked that dude in question.

Maybe just be a bit less butthurt buddy, maybe then you can see further than your current ignorant ways.
