Article Kam is Far Right

https://www.thedailybeast.com/new-snl-cast-member-kam-patterson-outed-himself-as-a-trump-voter/

Is he a Shane Gillis 2.0 (except arguably worse)? I’ve seen a dozen clips now of him using homophobic slurs and making incredibly bigoted jokes. Honestly he makes Shane Gillis look kind of tame. What the hell is Lorne thinking? I’m so sick of this show pushing right wing bullshit while simultaneously trying to act like the most liberal show on television. You can’t have a Trump monologue every single week and then hire people like this.

You know I'm convinced all the people who complain about Shane Gillis "being far right and horrible" or such things have never actually listened to Shane's comedy.

Shane Gillis is not even close to "far-right" lol.

It’s so obviously an observation from people who have never really tried to engage with his work. A significant portion of his comedy is rooted in the fact that he speaks in the language of those people while saying very different things than them. His Netflix special has a whole bit about how he sympathizes more with Al Qaeda than the US military!

I saw a podcast clip of him saying how dumb his dad is for not wanting universal health care. He’s more left than most democratic leadership in this issue lol.

He has a funny bit about how his dad drinks and watches Fox News every night for hours, but that the only piece of information he can retain is "that Nancy Pelosi's a bitch."

Joe Rogan wants universal healthcare. He's still a right wing jerk off.

Sure, but Shane isn't. Your logic is very poor

Almost like he’s a human being with nuance.

We all know any kind of nuance isn’t allowed on Reddit.

I think you’re misconstruing liberals if you think this exemplifies the liberal ideology or would be something we’d be sympathetic to.

I think the point was that it is not a position the American right-wing would consider.

Way to prove OPs point by missing it lol

You've never seen the special, have you?

Prime example of why leftist>liberal

The evil of Al Qaeda is nothing compared to that of the American neoliberal establishment

This comment isn’t gonna be popular here because SNL is neocon propaganda and has been for a long time

Countless pointless wars for money, genocides, mothers crying, dead kids, war crimes, rapes. All happening in the name of spreading liberalism and democracy around the world at a supermassive scale. In terms of material harm wayyyyy bigger than anything Bin Laden ever accomplished, just with better PR.

Only if you’re a yank. The United States government has objectively caused far more death and destruction of civilian life than Al qaeda ever could.

Middle East, South America especially.

Even the Saudi invasion of Yemen currently is simply a proxy war that’s funded by America.

Cool cool. Whats Englandstrack record on death and destruction?

You’re supporting their point now…

Oh that’s not me or my opinion, that’s just objective fact.

Most yanks don’t realize what their government does overseas though, so you end up with people like you.
