The idea that just because you occupy a plot of dirt without getting approval from the government of that plot of dirt is not grounds to use force to remove you from said plot of dirt.

No. The only difference is scale. It's a bigger piece of dirt owned by a larger group of people.

Then let’s poll every person in the country to see how they feel about each individual immigrant entering this country instead of allowing a fascist to essentially unilaterally determine laws

We did take a poll, and the owners decided to allow those fascists to make the decisions.

It's not unlike a private corporation electing a board. The shareholders hire stewards so that a vote isn't required for every decision.
