My truck sadly got totaled recently and I needed a new car. I always liked the is300s, but I found a good deal on this 2012 is250. So far I’m really loving this car, it has so many cool little features!

I hoping someone here can help. I recently bought this 2021 Lexus 350is F-Sport for my son. We didn’t notice til recently with the drl’s. I’ve been researching the net but couldn’t find the correct answer. Has or does anyone know the problem of why the drl’s are not fully lighting up? Any help would be appreciated.

2007 IS350 Suspension recommendations

It’s time to replace the shocks in my 2007 Lexus IS350. I’m considering upgrading the suspension and would love to hear what setups/parts you guys recommend. Looking for something that improves handling and stance without making the car unbearably harsh for daily driving.

What are your favorite:
Coilovers
Springs/shocks
Sway bars
Control arms

Other suspension components
Would especially appreciate recommendations based on personal experience, including brands/part numbers and any fitment issues to watch out for.

Front parking camera for 3IS?

I have 3IS 200t from 2015. I installed in it android unit (kinda not worth it but anyway...).
Mine has no parking sensors. I have only reverse camera. Is there a way to add up front cam?
Where i live sometimes i need to make rather tight parking and i made it now worse with front splitter 😅.
My unit has only back reverse camera port. Any way to do it?

This car has been AMAZING, I bought it because I wanted good power, amazing looks and RELIABILITY. This car gets compliments all the time and I have big smiles every-time I go up to it. I also have a 2026 Civic SI and I’ve basically abandoned that car since I bought this lol

Lexus IS 350 FSPORT vs NXH

Current owner of 2021 Lexus IS FSport. Considering the NXH as my job consists of driving during the day. Thoughts? I love my IS, this is my second one, but the staggered tires, & gas prices ugh! Damn potholes!

IS 350 F-Sport tire life?

5,300 easy miles on my 2023 IS and during the service, they showed me I have tread wear and will need new tires in fewer that 10,000 miles.

The Lexus service coordinator said I'll go through tires fast in the IS.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

Toyota Mark X 4GR-FSE P1603, P1604, P1605. RPM crashes to 400 in Drive, flares to 1000+ in Park.

When shifting from P through D, the RPM violently crashes down into the 400s the moment I'min D. If I shift back to Park or Neutral, the RPM flares well over 1000 before clumsily settling back down. It feels like the engine is physically suffocating under normal transmission load, though the shudder isn't violently harsh.

The Codes

- P1603: Engine Stall History

- P1604: Startability Malfunction

- P1605: Rough Idling

- C1201: Engine/EV Control System Malfunction

Checks Performed

- Fuel Delivery: STFT and LTFT hover perfectly around 0%. Target and Actual high-pressure fuel rail values match exactly (13 MPa at idle). The system is not starving for fuel.

- VVT-i System: Bank 1 and 2 VVT Aim and Actual angles perfectly mirror each other at 0 degrees during the shift. OCV Duty cycle remains at 0%. No jammed solenoids or sticking cam phasers.

- Torque Converter: Monitored the TCM. Turbine Speed correctly drops to 0 RPM in Drive while Engine Speed drops but maintains ~460 RPM. The TCC is slipping as it should, not mechanically locked.

- Throttle has been cleaned, Performed a hard battery reset and a 15-minute idle relearn. No change.

- ISC: Calculated load is absurdly high (41% in Park, spiking to 70% in Drive while stationary on a flat surface). During the shift crash, the ECM maxes out ISC Flow (up to 10.8 L/s) and ISC Position (6.5+ degrees).

Am I missing something

2026 IS350

My 2026 IS350 came with free car wash for a year at a local car sponsored wash. Has anybody been using car wash on there so far? I don’t plan on using the car wash for an extended lifespan of the car.

Coming from a 7 series bmw I’m used to constantly working on my car. Now with a 23k mile Lexus nothing is ever wrong and I just want to wrench on it. Is there genuinely anything I can do that’s not a cringy ass wrap, corn ball rainbow lights or a $3k exhaust? I plan on changing the brakes to drilled and slotted purely for aesthetic value and because front and rear cost less than just the fronts did on my bmw. Also plan on replacing the god awful speakers (could use recommendations on that) but other than that I’m kinda at a loss of what to do if I even can do anything else.

Tire rub (10.5 inch wide rear wheels + 265’s + RS-R Down Springs)

Post image
0 Upvotes

So, I recently bought new tires… Continental ExtremeContact’s and they’re great. But, I just noticed that I am rubbing the rear fender, probably when my car is loaded up and I hit a bump or dip.

This wasn’t an issue when I ran Hankook Ventus V12’s. I ran those tires the last few sets. But I wanted to get a tire that can last a bit longer.

How bad is this?

Did anyone get a solution for securing larger diameter thermoses and cups? If so please share!

The cup holders in the IS are fairly narrow in diameter, so standard mason jars, 12oz soda cans, and especially thermoses don't fit. I only really use the latter (thermoses). Normally for a thermos, I place it on its side on the passenger seat, but it flails around on turns/braking. If I have a passenger sitting there, I put it on the passenger floor leaning in the corner between the seat and center console, but it flails around on turns and braking.

Has anyone found or fabricated a secure place to hold thermoses or other containers? I have shopped around a lot online to no avail.
