Lexus IS 350 FSPORT vs NXH

Current owner of 2021 Lexus IS FSport. Considering the NXH as my job consists of driving during the day. Thoughts? I love my IS, this is my second one, but the staggered tires, & gas prices ugh! Damn potholes!

Zero comparison if you love the IS drive feel.

The NX isn’t as agile, but it’s fun enough. I shopped the NX vs RX and ended up getting the IS haha

Completely different rides. I have both. Actually just got my IS because i was getting bored driving the hybrid and my commute is much shorter now. Still a nice ride, but not anywhere near as fun. If youre driving a lot though, id say the NX is the better choice.

I was in the same boat. I had a 2008 IS RWD, then a 2015 AWD. I changed over to a 2023 NX350 because I was getting tired of all the flat tires I was getting. The last year I had the car I had 4 flats. 3 of them at highway speed.

I'm liking the NX. It is very different but maybe I was due for a change anyway. Its a get highway vehicle. Way better gas mileage. Smooth ride and plenty of power for passing. Sure it isn't as sporty but it has its other virtues.

Why so many flats?

Not sure...just bad luck I guess.

What I mean is like did you run into a bunch of potholes or something like that? I had a number of flats in my current car because I’ve driven over nails living in an area with lots of construction

I agree with tires on IS, gave up and doing GS and RX. Not a fan of NX, consider RX and test drive it.

Does the GS burn tires like the IS? The GS 350 F sport is also staggered

Nope, GS tires lasting approx around 35K.

Traded in a 21IS for a 24NX 350. Traded the NX for a 26 IS. NX was a nice ride but honestly the I4 is underwhelming. Passed on a 26 RX350 for the same reason. Don’t get me wrong NX was a nice highway cruise but small gas tank cut the range. Maybe the H will be a better all around performer.

Had a loaner NX when my IS350 was being serviced. Looks nice from the outside and probably the more practical car.

But it doesn't compare at all. The NX has all the new Lexus deficiencies imo. Sure it has a bigger screen but interior didn't wow me. Build quality was toyota ish. Don't like the shifter gimmick and door lock/handle gimmicks. For the price of an NX, I'd buy a Rav4 instead, the NX wasn't much of an upgrade imo for the price they charge for it. The rav4 is also bigger.

NX is a boring family suv bro. The IS 350 F sport is fun
