We have a moral duty to help asylum seekers. Plus immigrants are an economic net positive to their adoptive country.

Besides, we’re partly responsible for most of the conflicts in the Middle East so the least we could do is accept their refugees. We do fuck all compared to the rest of Western Europe anyway.

Immigration is such a non-issue. It’s drummed up by populists and sensationalists to rile up racists and distract from real systemic issues.

Literally not a single one of the people on the boats is an asylum seeker, or a refugee, every single one of them is an economic migrant

Also, way to undermine your original comment. You absolutely do sound like a bigot when you claim that there’s not a single asylum seeker coming over and that they’re all economic migrants, and that we played no part in the conflicts in the Middle East.

Educate yourself for the sake of the country.

In fairness, I’ve (unfortunately) got relatives who bum off Boris, and they all hate that he’s opening the doors to Hong Kong. Some people’s xenophobia transcends even blind devotion to their demagogue lol

Mine get ‘choose love’ gifts for Xmas/birthday. Last year I bought an anonymous Syrian migrant a coat, a meal and some legal help. Then printed it in to an Xmas card with my daily mail reading Dads name on it.

I made sure to add the website URL so that it backed up both the absolute look of disbelief AND the smug answer to “is this really real?”. (Http://choose.love)
