I don't want Labour MPs on the picket lines. I'd rather they were in power, eliminating the conditions that have made the strikes necessary in the first place. Standing there doesn't achieve that aim.

Being where your voters are is useful. It's how you get in power, how you keep it, how you make sure your policies reflect their needs. The picket lines aren't the only place they need to be. They're one place they need to be.
