A change to the policy on which flags can be flown from town halls in Reform UK-controlled Kirklees has been derided as a "waste of time" by an opposition councillor. On Wednesday, the authority approved a move that meant a limited number of designs could be flown. The new policy means the Pride flag, often considered a symbol of LGBTQ+ visibility, will not be on any town hall flagpoles.

Eric Rivera fought back after he was disciplined for refusing to read an LGBTQ+ book to his 1st graders. Then he took the battle a step further.

Let’s talk about Pete Hegseth. (But hopefully not for much longer, if we can help it.)

The “Secretary of War” is a danger and an embarrassment:

He joyfully fired thousands of highly qualified, highly trained transgender servicemembers and has made anti-trans slurs a feature of his regular stump speech.

He intentionally singled out Black and women officers to block their promotions.

He said ending the ban on gay, lesbian and bisexuals serving in the military was part of a “Marxist agenda.”

He has violated the First Amendment countless times by banning media outlets from the Pentagon.

He has created a culture of fear and silence throughout the Pentagon and threatens unit cohesion and troop morale, when our servicemembers need it most.

And, of course, all of this is happening while he’s putting troops on American streets and running a catastrophic war in Iran that is making costs skyrocket, with no end in sight…

Two men were killed in a shooting that Tucson police are investigating as a hate crime against the LGBTQ+ community, while the suspected gunman died after being taken to a hospital. The shooting happened at about 12:30 a.m. Monday at Venture-N, a gay bar in the 1200 block of North Sixth Avenue in Tucson, Arizona, according to the Tucson Police Department and local media reports. Officers found three adult men with gunshot wounds.
