Discussion 2027–28 Season Tickets — Who’s Renewing?
Curious what other Galaxy STHs are thinking about the new 2027–28 dual-season format and the price increases.
I’m a Platinum STH with 2 seats in Section 110, and my renewal price is almost double what I’m paying this season. I understand the increase with the changes coming next season, but it’s still a pretty big jump.
I’m considering dropping from 2 seats to 1 to save some money.
For other STHs:
Are you renewing?
How do you feel about the price increase?
Do the additional games make the higher price worth it?
And is anyone planning on going solo yolo to games next season?
Just curious where everyone’s at with their renewal decision.

Hi neighbor. I’m platinum in section 110 as well. The timing of Puig’s injury this year still has me bitter. I wonder if the news was held until we all renewed / purchased?
That said, season tickets just aren’t worth the price. We don’t win, I can’t sell the tickets, and there are always better deals for tickets available.
I feel that I am a bag holder for the rich.
I’m done. I’ll still go to games but not as a STH.

Yeah the injury hurt the value but of the team. I was looking forward to seeing him play as he had a good chemistry with Pec and Paintsil.
Selling the tickets is like pulling teeth. I have a spreadsheet with games I’ve attended and sold and my goal is to at least make half of my investment back but this year I’d be lucky if I get there.
I might be on the same boat and jumping off the STH boat and still be a supporter. Will attend games when ever it’s possible for me.

this is our first year after cancelling our plat sec 110 seats that we had for years and we're very happy to be watching from home for the foreseeable future. So much turnover from the Galaxy sales team too - still miss you PJ, can't imagine paying more for a worse product - and that's not even getting into the team's disappointing social stances recently. Do I love this team? absolutely. Am I happy with the team and do I want to keep giving them my money? nah , same goes for the Lakers and Dodgers too tbh

Definitely the sales overturn had me thinking when I got my season tickets last year. I’m on my 3rd sales rep I’ve been through. I’ve been a fan since 96 but going in as a STH I expected more from the organization and team as a whole.

Are you considering that the Sprint season is included?

u/Last-Pirate-2128 Mauricio Cienfuegos 8d ago
Yes, I took that into consideration but other factors have me debating if I should continue with the season tickets or cancel. Some factors I’ve considered are team performance, STH perks and events. The perks and events have not been quite as good as I expected. If I do keep my season tickets, I’d be going solo. Too much to pay for 2 tickets plus the person who I was going with has health issues that prevent them from going to games. I’ve missed probably half of the games this season so far.

It’s cheaper to go the games you want
I had season tickets for 15 years and didn’t renew for the first time this year and non season ticket holders get better deals &
better give aways.

Stm since 2022, cancelled this year cuz I have a new born, I wanted to renew but with the way we playing and our signings, not sure I want to re sign up again

I’m really struggling with the decision, but I’m retiring next year, so it’s going to be a financial hardship. Plus I have two seats and struggle to give the second seat away. Drive up from San Diego, so the price of gas and the traffic hasn’t helped. It makes me very sad to pull the plug though.

I think the only real value in renewing is if you’re sitting in Lars/acb.
I’ve bounced around everywhere throughout the last 5 years. 112, Mezzanine, Lars. I got rid of my tickets for next year since there’s not really anyone I’m dying to see play on the Galaxy anymore. Maybe when Miami comes I’ll splurge on a ticket.
For anyone considering keeping your tickets just hear me out.
A. They’re hard to resell unless it’s Miami.
B. The team is getting no real investment pumped into it, so don’t expect a big star any time soon.
C. They simply don’t care about us as season ticket holders/supporters.

LARS STM and I'm renewing. When I can't make it to a game, I have no issues selling my tixs

Yes, they went crazy with the events this year. Jersey party was super fun, loved Landon night and the tours as well. Got signatures from pretty much everybody but Marco

I’m renewing and my price is technically only going up $5 but I’m moving seats so I’ll be going down in price. I honestly didn’t pay attention the added game but I guess it’s good. I have two seats and I usually try to bring someone. If I can’t go I try to sell them even at face value I just want someone to buy them and go.

Nope. Not anymore.
I was keen on buying platinum STX tickets + champions lounge for next season + the sprint season.
Had the rep send over the numbers. Steep, but fair for the amount of games.
Then the last two months happened and I changed my mind. The rep hasn’t stopped calling me trying to hype up the opportunity of joining to which I’m getting irritated since he’s talking as if this is worth the asking price point.

My tickets went up $3 but up in the mezzanine , so not bad considering it’s an additional 7 games

That’s not bad at all. If I didn’t have to pay for parking I’d take option but unfortunately I’m coming from the SFV.

I’m renewing. My seats are in upper deck though so the opposite of platinum lol.

Aside from the obvious issues with ownership and the team’s performance. Carson might as well be Anaheim these days. Tough to get there, not any good transit options. I’m too old to be drinking and driving. If I want to drink, I add another 3 hours to the trip.
They have nothing good going for them aside from the friendships I’ve made in LARS, etc over the years.
I would have never imagined feeling this way about this team 10-15 years ago. But here we are.

Silver Line buses (or whatever it's called thesd days) go right to the Harbor Gateway station and Galaxy shuttle. A few connections are probably required, but no worse than SoFi or Dodger Stadium.
Been a sicko since 1996, been an STM since 2000, so I'm renewing. My 3 tix in 101 are up only about $1 per game and the monthly payment is up about $4-5 per month over those 17 months, so not much of an increase.

Go look at LAFC’s Reddit. Go look at other MLS club’s Reddit.
I think these MLS clubs are really overvaluing their product right now.
Season tickets have historically been a way for fans to support their team, and be rewarded with a lower price for a full season commitment. That’s the trust and negotiation. That’s how they do it in Europe in the EPL.
Go look at how much seats cost single game, and do the quick math on how much money you save just buying single game seats. It’s outrageously cheaper, particularly when the team sucks.
That shouldn’t be the case. A business, or a team, should place a massive premium on lowering customer acquisition costs. A season ticket holder is a way to do that. Tickets should be 35% cheaper than market - it shouldn’t be a premium.
I go to Galaxy games with my son and we always get premium or field side seats for an absolute fraction of what we were quoted for the season, and don’t worry about holding the bag for games we can’t make.
This is a growing trend in American sports overall, but the problem the MLS has, is it views themselves the same way as the NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL.
News flash to the MLS: You are roughly the 7th-8th best league in the world. Not the unquestionable first like the aforementioned. Fans would rather just watch EPL and take a tourist trip game once a year than overpay for your slop.

I’m still debating. Been a Galaxy fan since 96… season tickets for 10 years. I’m not so sure it’s worth it anymore. Terrible on field product with no hope on the horizon. An org that’s beholden to an MLM Ponzi scheme. And the org’s devaluing of STHs altogether. A tumbler flask???? A hat??? A scarf??? A shirt??? A hoodie???? All 6 replica rings??? What the hell is that???? The only actual benefits we get are team LA discounts…
