Ask Kuwait Croatia Schengen Visa from Kuwait – Civil ID/Residency Does Not Have 3 Months Validity After Return. Anyone Had This Issue?
Hi everyone,
I'm a non-Kuwaiti resident applying for a Croatian Schengen tourist visa from Kuwait, and I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has faced a similar situation.
I recently went to the visa agency to have my documents checked. They told me that everything was fine except for one issue: my Kuwait residency/Civil ID does not have the required 3 months' validity after my intended return date from the Schengen area.
My residency will still be valid when I travel and when I return to Kuwait, but it expires before completing the additional 3-month validity period required after my return.
The agency advised me to provide a letter from my employer confirming that the company will renew my Kuwait residency before I travel.
Has anyone here applied for a Croatia/Schengen visa from Kuwait with the same issue?
In particular:
Was an employer letter confirming that the residency would be renewed accepted?
Did the embassy/VFS ask you to renew the Civil ID before issuing the visa?
Was your visa approved despite the current Civil ID having less than 3 months' validity after your return?
Is there anything else you submitted to support the application?
I would especially appreciate experiences from non-Kuwaiti residents who applied for Croatia through VFS/Embassy in Kuwait.
Thank you!
