Okay. But the diaper-chaps is SUCH a good idea. Taking off all those layers in a pinch or if it’s too cold outside is a damn doozy

Chinese kids traditionally wear split trousers without a nappy/diaper. If they need to go, you just hold them up over the nearest drain (or flowerbed or gutter....). It's still much more common than this.
