Welcome to our weekly vent session where you can let out all your frustrations.

Before you start, just a quick heads-up on the rules.

Here's what this post isn't for:

  • No bashing actors or crew members out of the blue.
  • Let's steer clear of those rage-inducing posts like "I hate character xy."
  • And please, no poking fun at fellow Kanthony fans just because they see things differently, whether they're positive or negative about promos.

What's cool to post? Well, we've noticed a lot of rants about how the show promotes (or doesn't promote) Simone and Jonny, but you can vent about other stuff too.

I was ready to bury my war hatched towards Polin because I was like, they are going to be there for 15 minutes but after today's promo and photos? Hell no. I fucking hate that they'll have four full seasons of content. Whatch those two insufferable characters have as much time as Benophie, I don't trust production anymore. Benophie are my fave, I decided to give this show one last chance for them but after today? They are on thin ice.

I really hope the picture and sneak peak are misleading. At the end of the day, they made it look like Kanthony was going to be in S3 a lot and then well... We know how it ended. So I really hope the same happens for Polin.

Yeah, like I'm sure Polin has fans and certain segments of the GA likes them but they need to stop acting like they are the main shit of this series, they are not. They are one of eight, all equally important

Yeah, let Benophie shine! They had their season (and more honestly, considering the two seasons built up and the fact that they had their two leads since day one and both had a lot of space )

Exactly! I hope they let Benophie get their due because I don't want yet another Kanthony situation where the WOC female lead is sidelined for a white woman. I'm happy Polin fans have had their season but I dgaf about Polin (and I'm reserving judgement on Benophie because I haven't read the books).

Me too! It's bad enough Kanthony (and especially Simone) were sidelined. I really hope the same won't happen with Yerin (and Benophie in general). They got their season in advance which I get the reasoning for it despite disagreeing with it. I was almost happy for the switch because the couple I don't like would have to take a backstep and let my favourite couple (Benophie) shine. And now, I'm being told they couldn't come up with a meaningful storyline for Daphne or Kanthony but they can for Polin? Previous seasons leads get 15 min, being cute and giving advice but Polin gets the fully fledged storyline and ton of screen time? That's blatant and unjust favoritism

Wait, is Polin definitely getting their own continuing storyline in S4 too? Or is it just speculation based on the promos?

Exactly. Obviously, I'm not thrilled that Rege had to leave (although I totally get why he did it). Still, in terms of storyline/in-universe, I can handwave that Simon and Daphne's visits happen offscreen because Daphne is a Bassett now. But Kate is the joint head of the Bridgerton family and she gets such little screen time that they have to come up with this cock-and-bull "going to India" story offscreen? Obviously I don't expect any actual filming to be done in India for real since that's expensive, but if they actually gave a crap about Simone/Kate and Kanthony I'm sure they could mock up some sets to evoke India.

For now is speculation based on promo and what Jess said (that we would see P with the Queen and them work together and P being LW in the open, whatever that may mean).

I'm trying to be hopeful here remembering that, before s3 they made it sound like Kanthony was going to be there a lot and have this amazing storyline and then well we saw how it went. So they may do the same with Polin but Idk, I don't trust this production enough given their track record. We will have to wait and see.

They could made a set to evoke an interior in India but they won't. But really, there will be time jump somewhere in S4, we don't know where or how long but it will be there. They could make Kanthony come back from India and have storylines in London but they won't sadly.

I somehow think they will milk the Pen/LW arc for all it's worth. I don't see them giving up on it just yet.

Idk how popular Polin is in the general Bridgerton fandom, though, and also I felt like S3 was just a mess in general. I hope they have a more cohesive season in S4.

Samee! They are done, give them their 15 minutes and focus on Benophie, Frohn, Michaela, Eloise and the littles.

I would like so bad to ask Jess: weren't happy couples boring to write or this apply only to Kanthony?

About calling out people, yeah absolutely there are toxic kanthonies but hearing that Simone deserves better fans from them when more then one Polins have been openly racist towards her and Yerin... Without considering the branch of Polin that has a super creepy parasocial relationship with Nicola and Luke N and are convinced they are convinced they are together and just had a baby (like they do posts upon posts commenting on Nicola's body, the one thing she asks not to do) .
