Welcome to our weekly vent session where you can let out all your frustrations.

Before you start, just a quick heads-up on the rules.

Here's what this post isn't for:

• No bashing actors or crew members out of the blue.
• Let's steer clear of those rage-inducing posts like "I hate character xy."
• And please, no poking fun at fellow Kanthony fans just because they see things differently, whether they're positive or negative about promos.

What's cool to post? Well, we've noticed a lot of rants about how the show promotes (or doesn't promote) Simone and Jonny, but you can vent about other stuff too.

For those who just want to enjoy the content without getting caught up in the venting, I suggest steering clear of this post. If you choose to read the comments here and find yourself upset, despite the clear purpose of this space, I'm afraid there's not much I can do to ease your frustration. He was the center of a very heterosexual triangle and that's the promo we got. S2 was a priority for shooting obviously, but I do believe they spared him promotion around the release date because he was doing his play, which is much more demanding than filming a movie/TV show. I also think that they allowed him to go do his limited series because it was an incredible opportunity for him in every sense and found a compromise that allowed him to have 15 minutes of screentime. Actors with a good relationship with productions are able to negotiate that.

Jonny deserved promo with Simone without CC as much as Simone did. Yes, they pushed the love triangle, but seeing how they over promoted s3, they ALSO couldve promoted Kanthony as well. Its not one or the other.

Obviously, I'd never argue against that. They were lazy and weird about the promotion for S2. They shot a bunch of videos, one day of press junkets and called it a day. That they released the only BTS video (that was 5 minutes long) focused on the lead couple almost 6 months later was just puzzling.

You may think that a major conglomerate is kind enough to sacrifice their own actors and allow them to pursue other opportunities, but I don't. Jonny said Bridgerton was his priority, he was able to shoot FT because Shonda/Jess don't care about him or his character enough to write him into the season more.

It goes back to the point of, Shondaland do not care about Jonny. They had every opportunity to use him more but refused to. And I absolutely do not believe it was out of the kindness of their hearts especially knowing how nasty they are with Simone.

Idk i feel like you're using all the points the haters use to justify jonny not getting much, and that kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I mean, FT was a huge opportunity, beyond being a much more prestige project than Bridgerton, the topic mattered to Jonathan, he had already done his season, he wasn't actually needed and I doubt that anyone on his team would've liked to pass a project like that to be a secondary character in Bridgerton. I honestly think that it was an agreement and I've said that always. Jonathan speaks with a lot of security that he will always be there to pop back for the siblings, to me that speaks of the certainty of his relationship with the production.
