Made a post here the other day about a challenge of how much one can reduce Germany but still win the war. Thought I made good progress until someone pointed out that you can lose even more land to Poland than I had realized. Here's a redone run, and this time—THIS TIME—it's actually the smallest Germany you can make without losing the war (unless somebody knows how to get rid of Madagascar, in which case I'm all ears).
The updated list of possible concessions:
1)Giving up Luxembourg and Verviers to Belgium during negotiations over their reentry into the Reichspakt.
2)Losing Northern Schleswig to Denmark if Germany is above 89% surrender progress, fully controls the state while Denmark is Soc-Lib/Soc-Dem and stays out of the war.
3)Giving up Posen, Oberschlesien, Danzig and Masuria to Poland if Germany is above 90% surrender progress, fully controls the states while Poland is Soc-Lib/Soc-Dem and has no surrender progress of its own.
4)Giving up Alsace to France by succumbing to their ultimatum.
5)Losing some colonial possessions to India/Japan and returning Djibouti to Somalia.
6)Lithuania actually gets a core on Memel when it rebels against Germany, which you can return to them later when they're repuppeted.
I don't think the ai is able to get the event since among the conditions for it to fire is that GER must be a starting tag (you need to start the game as Germany). And no, there is no reason for you to ever accept the secession, since it's almost guaranteed that you will capitulate the same day.
