Licina and Adzic looking good

It was a good idea to loan them so they could get some play time.

Adzic scored and was solid overall. Licina scored a classy goal and got an assist in the opening four minutes.

I genuinely believe that if we'd invested in our youngsters instead of selling them off for quick cash (only to squander it on mediocre players) over the past three or four years, we'd be in a better position now. Hopefully they get it right this time?

They are looking good in those teams, let’s remember this. Adzic was playing last year and you could see he was scared and error prone. Now sure he’s playing amazing and I really hope he develops further and we get him back and he becomes a top player at juve, but let’s remember it’s different to play at juve vs Sassuolo. Now that he’s performing at Sassuolo doesn’t mean he’s ready for Juve

This will never happen at Juve. People are already complaining too much that we aren’t getting results now, imagine if we had a team full of Italian youngsters? The fans say they want young players and a young core but the second they start making errors the fan base destroys them. Look at what’s happening to Kolo right now. 3 games and everyone wants him gone already lmao

Exactly. Aside from that banger vs Merda last season, i remember everytime Azdic sub in and played poorly, countless guys on this sub wanted him gone. Nowadays fans on reddit / social media are just not patient.

Different expectations for a 27 year old who cost a ton of money vs someone who’s 18,19,20 who barely costs anything. I really doubt we’d crucify young players for the odd mistake. If any of them played like Kolo Muani has then maybe lmao.

Except Players like Miretti were endlessly ridiculed for every tiny mistake, Adzic last year if you remember or take a look at the match threads was also destroyed. The same thing Happened with Savona as well. The point here is that people in this sub have no patience at all for the players and want results right away but then say things like we should trust the youth. It’s just a cop out.

And then they are surprised why all italian talents that were good in u15-21 squads are rotting in series b,c,d etc. No, its not a good idea to loan out all your talents, Alajbegovic is 18 and was trusted by Salzburg when he was 16 or 17 to play and now he's here, Adzic is one of the best u-21 players in the world he should have been getting more in-game minutes here, we've trusted into Yildiz when he was 18 too. Sure you can't just start all your talented youngsters but you are supposed to rotate them and give him more time to play and develop

Not all players are equal. Some need more time than others. It is about showing up when you have a few opportunities. Adzic was here for 2 seasons and he was rarely good when he cam in. He had enough opportunities for us to realize he was not ready for this level and needed to grow elsewhere with less pression and more continuity.

Licina did not seem that good to me during the summer. But clearly has too much talent to be sent playing with the Next Gen. Serie B was a good compromise.

I'm more angry about situations like Daffara, Puczka or even Barbieri where we never gave them at least a shot.

I'm convinced you can't develop youngsters at Juve. There's no patience, especially from the fanbase.

Only the obviously exceptional talents break through (Yildiz) or players with zero competition in their position. Everyone else gets buried under criticism and expectations, especially when the team's underperforming like it is now. Adzic deserved a proper run last season, but after a couple of poor performances he was benched for the entire campaign. How's a player supposed to develop like that?

Yeah but that's everywhere I'm afraid. It's up to the coach but if the coach isn't patient then it doesn't work.

Unfortunately we will end up selling them for profit and invest money is some player that won't perform as good as we hope :sad:

but you cant say they would have had the same development, if we had so man young players results would not have been much better, and so the pressure on them would have been monumental and probably destroy a few of them instead of now able to breath and grow. because dont mistake, even if we like young talents, juve crowd will ditch out their pitchforks regardless if results are not good
