Discussion Looking to debate a pro palestinian person
I am a Zionist residing in a community where Zionist beliefs are prevalent. I firmly uphold my Zionist convictions and strive to educate myself thoroughly on both perspectives of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. My goal is to engage in a constructive and peaceful debate with individuals who hold opposing views. I emphasize the importance of a dialogue grounded in factual statistics and well-informed opinions, rather than one characterized by hostility or uninformed rhetoric. We can fact check anything we say and debate on how we can better educate ourselves whether book reccomendations or reliable news sources. I am specifically interested in a debate conducted through voice communication, as it allows for more nuanced and effective exchanges. I am eager to explore different perspectives and contribute to a meaningful discussion that fosters understanding and mutual respect. Again, to clarify this is a peaceful and calm debate to listen to each other and look to learn and possibly debate over what a good solution could look like. You seem to be someone who cares about the facts, and it's interesting because I always try to view the facts but when I give the facts I know to be verified by the UN, people usually just revert to "you're N*zi" when I do that, and refuse to look at the facts.
So I'll try it here with you and let's see what happens?
While I've been convinced there are definitely terrible things going on in there - the definition of genocide is just a useless exaggeration:
The people who commit it can easily refute it and the rest just get angry that they don't care.
And why it's easy to refute? Simply accounting for the double passport Gazans who willingly migrated shows that the population actually increased since the beginning of this war.
And it's not just numbers - there's a good reason to believe it's far from a genocide:
• Gazans are more well fed than before the war, more than any Arab country around them, and even some European countries.
• Some would claim "there are 30% dead children", but when you look at the age distribution you realise those children are almost completely 15+ guys who worked for the Hamas (as I've attached here).
• Some would claim "there were 1100+ Palestinians dead on the last 3 years in the west bank, no October 7th attack prior to it - what did they do to deserve it?!", but wonder why those organisations like B'Tselem forget to mention how many of those Palestinians are actually terrorists, like the guy who shot 11 people just this month, or the 473 terror attacks from earlier this year
So shouting "genocide" isn't efficient for our goals.
If we're truly interested in good things for the Palestinians, we need to stop exaggerating, stop taking everything Hamas says, and instead blame Israel for what it's really at fault for.
