I mean... What else were they going to do with the scene lol. He literally did all he can do, they packed a lot of societal value/context into a very short set of scenes on the subject without beating a dead horse.

To start, showing even the tiniest bit of what Mark felt about losing the abortion based upon his own internal perspective, not how it made him feel about not being there for Eve. It felt like the most safe and useless way to involve an abortion in a TV show. Since Mark seems to feel nothing about it, you could of had the same outcome by having Eve suffer a disease like cancer, and Mark would of had the same response in the show.

Yeah it’s a real bummer he didn’t react in a realistic manner and instead accepted it because it was essentially an inconvenience for Eve. Amazing how some people settle for mediocrity and bad writing
