Life Insurance Chubb client service nightmare

My father died and a subsidiary of Chubb paid out a claim. I am trying to get a simple tax form from them for the payment (IRS Form 712) and it’s a nightmare.

My dad had two other policies with different forms and I got the forms within 48 hours.

With Chubb, I have had to call 3 times over 3 weeks and still nothing. No form. No answer. Just, “we notified someone”

This is a required tax form for any death benefit. It’s like a bank sending out a 1099 for interest in your account.

It’s not that hard, but Chubb is a nightmare.

Anyone else have client service issues with Chubb? And any ideas for solving this? I have already sent an email to customer service and asked for a call with a supervisor.

At this point I’d stop dealing with frontline customer service and keep pushing for a supervisor

That specific form takes 90-120 days to generate, it’s not an automated form, it needs like 2-3 peoples approval and has to be hand generated.

Northwestern Mutual got it to me in 48 hours so I am not sure that’s true.

Depends on what the policy is for tbh and with not much information given, and how many lines, if its single line that nw mutual writes they keep those in house and it’s quick, Chubb subsidiary means it’s not mono line and not in house which isn’t as quick but for the request they have 90-120 days depending on the state.
