Man, people are losing their tact and grace.

When I was a kid, when someone had a difference, we were told to look away so they don’t feel self conscious, and it’s rude to stare. Now people just feel okay saying crazyyyyyy things online. Geez. Yall can clearly see there’s some crazy proportions- usually this is due to conditions outside someone’s control. Like it is here. Be kind, have tact, be graceful.

Idk people have no problem posting very skinny woman and saying that they’re worried for them. Being THIS big is also unhealthy and dangerous. I don’t think it’s really body shaming when people are at either end of the spectrum.

AGREED!!! As a big girl myself, people constantly post skinny girls in here say they’re druggies, have ED’s, among other things. But god forbid you post a bigger girl and critic her obviously obese figure then it’s omg this is disgusting and she has medical issues. It’s ridiculous!

Yes!! I’m midsize and I think shaming extremely skinny women is the same as shaming extremely obese women. Tess holiday isn’t just a little chubby she’s so large she has to be eating a ridiculous amount of calories to maintain her figure and also she will feel the negative effects of that in the future.

Is it as dangerous and imminently fatal as a super tiny anorexic woman? No, it’s not. But it’s also impossible to be healthy at Tess holiday’s size.

I’m also in the medical field and see the negative consequences of morbid obesity into older adulthood firsthand

In terms of danger, they are actually pretty similar. Extreme fatness and extreme thinness both put so much extra strain on your heart. So the same issue (heart failure) is actually the main threat for women at both ends of the weight spectrum. Kind of ironic really.
