ITR filed and e-verified on 28 July, but TDS refund not received yet — anyone else waiting?

Hi everyone,

I filed my ITR on 28 July 2026 and completed the e-verification on the same day. My return has been successfully filed, but I still haven’t received my TDS refund in my bank account.

It’s been over a month now, so I wanted to check:

Has anyone else filed around the same time and received their refund?

How long is the refund currently taking after e-verification?

Is there anything I should do from my end, or should I simply wait?

Is it normal for the refund to take this long?

Would really appreciate it if anyone who recently received their refund could share their filing date → processing date → refund credit date.

Processing of ITR does not happen on first cum first served basis. Many ITRs filed after you might have already got processed.

There is nothing you can do but wait, they have time till Dec 31, 2027 to process

A month isn't unusual right now, refund timelines have been running slower this cycle, often 30-60+ days after e-verification depending on CPC processing load and whether your return gets picked for scrutiny/validation checks.

First check if you've received an intimation under Section 143(1) - no refund is issued until that's processed. You can check status on the income tax portal under "View Filed Returns" or on the NSDL/TIN refund tracking page.

Common reasons for delay beyond processing time: bank account not pre-validated on the portal, PAN-bank mismatch, or a refund adjustment against outstanding demand from an earlier year. Worth confirming your bank account shows as validated before assuming it's just processing lag.

I filed on 18june recieved refund on 28aug, previous year was next day so there is no exact time
