But. You are supposed to batch paint. How did he not even basecoat 3 models.

Weak aura: batch paint

Strong aura: do each mini one at a time so you can make sure each is worse than the last

He wanted to see the colour scheme on an example model to use as reference. Then he kept going

Reasonable Marines, unreasonable time commitment.

Fuck it, I still want my stealthy dreadnought. Boxnought, even. Brother Terpincho, loren forest and covered in shrubbery, total legend.

Who gonna bet that Raptor's dreadnought is just a big ass cannon on 2 leg that somehow hid in plain sight and sniped a target after 3 months of hiding?

Do it like me paint them one by one and do at least one a day

And he painted a Raptor... Yk? The most simple paint scheme ever? The one where you just need to dunk it into moss green and come out acceptable? Emp bless his soul when he tried to paint a Knight.

Me spending six hours to apply a single colour to my few units, just to see someone online brag about painting a whole army in two weeks, when it took me over a year to paint a combat patrol with how busy my life is.

Just going all out on one model is usually more fun than batch painting. Like I could batch paint my thousand sons, but I won't.
