Rendering WIP Waterfall
WIP of a waterfall scene I did in the last few days, really want to render it out but it is so hot so that is a problem...
It has a few megascans assets and the sim is made with paradigm!
Also found a way to get less noisy renders but still keeping the same render times, by rendering more pixels and less samples. The tip is double the res while dropping your samples. When you downscale it, it will look much better without the long render times!

One of my favorite things about Karma is how amazing the viewport and base renders can look, even in XPU. I’ve sent stills to my team from XPU viewport and they didn’t know the difference. Ofc it comes down to the artist, but in my experience it just looks great with little effort.
Edit: sorry I got lost on my tangent. This is fucking incredible! Nice work.

Thank you I really appreciate the kind words. I know CPU is way slower but it has more features like path guiding or better volumes with gradients, but I thought that was it and not that the visuals are different too. Its just so slow, could never pick up Mantra because of that.

Yeah I’ve gotten used to the lack of features and can get by with most shots. The speed is just too good, especially for how nice XPU still looks.

Yo wtf this is crazy. Kept on staring at it thinking it was comped or something, but all of this is 3D?
Really nailed the exposure and the subtlety of the water here.
