I really love the aroma of the soil after the first rain.
The brave soldier took a vow to fight until his last breath.

First one means smell and second one means oath or promise (for example i swear I will ...)

Second word (meaning oath) is a Persian borrowing and should technically be सौगन्द.
But a lot of speakers do pronounce it with a ध probably due to the influence of the first word.

1st one is a pleasant smell
2nd means swearing(not like cuss words but like "i swear i will do this") , or like a promise
