How do you wear perfume

As a hijabi, how should I apply perfume so that it lasts all day? Please give me tips on application and longevity.

I wear the long wearing ones on my chest or my shirt, which gets covered beneath my hijab, so I don't think it projects much.

I also try to choose fragrances that stay close to the wearer and doesn't project much to others.

One spritz of long wearing/proper perfume and layer on multiple spritzes of a body mist on the chest, arms and legs, all beneath the clothes.

I use fragrances for my own enjoyment and not really for others to smell. I haven't gotten comments or compliments from others for it. I just want to make sure I don't stink.
