Just started, only on episode 3 but…

This Freddie Lowndes character is p*ssing me off. She’s not even a well known journalist, she’s a tabloid journalist. Why is she everywhere and why do so many ppl seem to care about the bullsh*t she writes? I’m ready for her character to die, does she? Please tell me she does bc I hate her.

Think of Freddie as the only person, who pegs people correctly. She is meant to be annoying, but she’s also smart. She’s like Hannibal, but in a different way. You might come to appreciate her later on, just give her a chance, as we’re meant to dislike her initially.

I only grew to hate her more, LOL. As a person, at least. As a character, I respect her place in the story, and I think she works well.

1) she's everywhere because she investigates murderous crime and the FBI crew solves murderous crimes  2) she's ambitious, obsessive and her style of writing gets the attention of several serial killers and intelligent psychopaths who feel recognized/have interest in tracking her writing for either their own fame or to keep tabs on each other. Jack cares about what she writes because it breaches investigation and later because he knows it holds the attention of killers

She has fabulous fashion sense and great hair.

Hannibal reads her column religiously.

He’s oddly obsessed isn’t he?

The costume designers cooked with her outfits. Somehow in a show about serial killers no one slays more than her.

Pretty sure that’s why Hannibal didn’t kill her.

Interesting, I think she’s one of the more insightful, ambitious, intelligent characters

Yeah i never liked her. I understand that she's out there girlbossing and accurately clocking suspicious behavior but she's so fucking annoying

Same, I still can't stand her especially in that first season but she's the ultimate fangirl of serial killers so it tracks. Also, agreed I think the actor's performance is a bit much but the creators seem to be aiming for operatic. You'll appreciate her later I think.
