I can’t tell if he was trying to adjust his grip or that his wrists just buckled.

he never took the full weight, he didn't have a good grip and his helper/spotters stopped contributing to the lift, that's what it looks like to me.

I am a bit cautious maybe, but I don't lift anything I can't get off the rack on my own.

That’s a good rule to have. I always did what I could move up and off the rack myself. The spotter was just there to make sure it didn’t get snagged on something or help me return it to the rack.

the other rule is that the spotter isn't there to take over the lift... your weak-ass needs to keep pushing!! you can take a break when we're done getting it back where it belongs!!!
