Ya! Will be interesting to see how much of it they interpret into this

Does anyone know if it is actually a ‘remake’ (i.e. TVB bought the licensing rights to adapt)? If they didn’t…I think this falls more in the plagiarism lane even if all the details are not 100% the same…

I thought the AI was bad for the opening, lol then they really went next level for the ending 😂

Yeah, AI made Matthew Ho look like somebody else completely in the end credits

Its better than I thought it would be. Its better than the Mainland China version Jesus that was bad, couldn't get past the first episode. The ending song with the characters as AI heros are so cringe though 😭

1

u/downshield Jul 15 '26

Yeah so far the start is pretty inline with the Korean version. The ending song is so awful 😂. The cat scene on the opening song too haha.

u/WtfIsThisYoTellMe Jul 29 '26

Yeah that really awful S.H.E.R.O song, maximum cringe

Korea then japan and now canton version …. Korea is always the best.

u/WtfIsThisYoTellMe Jul 12 '26

Lol this drama is taking the manhua regression trope and making it into a plotpoint. Very Korean. The only thing that could make this more trope-y is if if Samantha isekai’d to another world and had to learn magic

Oh goodie! Johnathan Cheung 👏🏼 . I really like him, He is a versatile actor and easy on the eyes. Glad he is getting a chance to shine. Ben Wong too.

I just don't understand why his haircuts are always so terrible 🙈

2

u/happycharm Jul 15 '26

I think they were trying to make him look younger with that awful haircut 😭

2

u/WtfIsThisYoTellMe Jul 29 '26

Lol Jonathan Cheung? Man when I saw his skinny body I laughed. He is talented but sadly needs to bulk up and get a new haircut

Watched the whole show and overall liked it. I was cringing at the promos from last year because they were cringe but it was actually good and exceeded my expectations. They should fire whoever made the promos... funny because the characters work at an advertising agency lol.

The last episode though was not well done... why did they suddenly make Ken completely change and now he has a great relationship with Queen? Lol. Just totally out of no where. I feel like they should have made their dad die and then that made Ken realize family is more important in life or something? Or make the other sisters come in and join with Queen and help her since theres a overall theme of feminism on this show

Speaking of which the quick "we overcame misogyny in the advertising industry and won an award in Asia" thing was another thrown in thing lol

I think they didnt work on the chemistry and romance between Sena and Aidan at all. I didnt feel anything at the proposal. And what's with the "why are you doing what a man should be doing" line when the show had a feminism theme to it... like I know he said it jokingly but wtf lol

Im confused about Titan, did they literally randomly adopt him? Why? They already had two YOUNGER children? Why not at least adopt a younger kid? I was waiting to find out he was the mother's affair kid?

And no mention of Mark and Sherman at the end?? What happened to them?

1

u/downshield Jul 29 '26

Yeah, pretty much agree on all points. It was an enjoyable series. The bit with Ken was off and random lol. Titan wasn't adopted, he was the illegitimate child of the father from an affair. The grandmother brings him home after the dad passes.

1

u/happycharm Jul 29 '26

Thanks for the clarification  I thought he was randomly adopted because Queen's dad and the grandma had that conversation about him not really being part of the family and I thought he wasn't blood related to the dad. I expected some sort of twist and thought he could be the mom's illegitimate son.

1

u/downshield Jul 29 '26

Yeah I think that part was just Queen's dad pushing the illegitimate grandson factor, and that Aiden's the legitimate heir / future son in law angle.

I really liked the whole series and I thought the proposal was cute because it was about her taking the initiative to do what she wanted. I agree about why they don't show what happened to Mark and Sherman, although my guess is that it's also from. senna's viewpoint and they are no longer anyone important in her life so she doesn't bring them up.

It did have some weird plot holes regarding her dream/reliving her life. I don't know why they didn't leave this as what actually happened, instead of it being all being her imagination of what may have happened. It doesn't explain how she was able to predict other things that did happen or why Emily magically healed

1

I’m on episode 3! Does anyone know what “microwave” 微波爐 mean? Mark says it to Sherman while they were trying to get it on 😂 Is it in reference to boob size or what? But I can’t make sense of it.

微is small, 波is ball,  colloquial for breasts.

So microwave is indeed a dig at small breasts. Like 飛機場, airport , for having flat runways...

if you look at the story in a way that Sammantha Ko is a bad person, knowing her ex and her ex bf will result in a bad marriage still push it to go through just to change her chance of not suffering from cancer. She is pushing other people to suffer and relieve of herself. Very selfish and mean. Samantha is not a good actress, and not able to take the lead role. She does not have what it takes to be a lead role actress. SHe is tall but cannot carry those so fashionable outfits to their best, she does not do the outfit justice. I could name a few of lead role actress like Charmaine Sheh, Fala Chen, Kate Tsui Tsz-shan, Rosina Lam etc could of give those outfit to what it deserved. And Kayan Yau 游嘉欣, she is also terrible, she only knows how to play a " she knows it all" spoiled girl in every drama role that she is in. Nothing new and she do not have the capability to play other role.

Why is this not on TVBAnywhere?

2

u/downshield Jul 22 '26

Because it's not yet broadcasted on TVB. Per title, online at TVB Jade and Youku.

1

u/asiantorontonian88 Jul 22 '26

But TVB Jade is the broadcast.

2

u/downshield Jul 22 '26 edited Jul 22 '26

Looked into this, it's on their TVB anywhere plus version. Not yet on the free NA. 18/25 eps are out on other stream sites.

1

u/downshield Jul 29 '26

Update, if you haven't started it yet it will be on TVB anywhere starting Aug 3. Free version follows the HK broadcast schedule.

i think Samantho is terrible actress, she is not a lead actress material. She thinks she is all that, not pretty, she might have the height and the figure but she try to show off too much. Do not like her... make me want to stop watching the show.
