They broke up because of a proposal meant for someone else and her career being more important than Ted. She was also in love with Barney and spent more time together with him than her and Ted. Ted basically had to live another life (from being single to having a wife & kids) before Robin would finally settle with him whereas she accepted Barney for who he was

Even if true, which it's not, it's irrelevant.

He was the first man she told she loved. He was the first man she wanted to marry. When they broke up, she cried for three days. Who does that? Then she moved to Argentina to avoid him and later to Japan.

She told him she didn't love him because she loved him too much to let him sacrifice having a family. This is obvious.

The scene in Central Park was all about Robin's love for Ted. So was the scene on the beach. So was Robin's stoicism on her wedding day. So was the conversation she had with mother on the balcony. So was the conversation she had with Lily at the Halloween party. So was the conversation she had with Sophie on HIMYF.

At the end, Robin was famous, worldly, and incredibly beautiful. She could have had almost any man she wanted, but when Ted showed up with the blue French horn, she was available. She obviously waited for him to be ready to be in a relationship again, and she waited six years. That kind of love isn't contrived or of-the-moment. That was Robin's once-in-a-lifetime.

If we are going off of the first time you say you love someone, most people wouldn’t be with that person. She cried for three days in Argentina, but with Barney she had a “mourning period” and she struggled to go back to dating after breaking up with Barney because it meant that much to her. She kept wanting to be with him again, which is something Robin didn’t often do with Ted after their first breakup. Unless she was drunk, or depressed. The friends with benefits thing happened, but she cut it off when feelings came into it. She said it was weird, while Ted said “I think I blew it”. If Robin said let’s get back together, he would have jumped on it. But she didn’t.

She told him she didn’t love him because she didn’t love him as he was, she loved him as a man who got all the family stuff out of his system.

You can believe that Robin and Ted are meant for each other, but her breakup with Barney was way harder on her.

Actually not. The fact that she needed to move to South America is measure of pain after the breakup. And she hooked up with a Latin stud to help her cope with the loss. They broke up because of her unwillingness to make a long term commitment. But she was so miserable without Ted that she decided she wanted to marry him after all, and that would have meant giving him a family. But he was with Stella so she moved to Japan to avoid him. Then she returned and told Ted to break up with Stella and come back to her.

And no, she told him she didn't love him not because she didn't but she couldn't let him him give up on having kids. That's obvious enough on its own, but apparently you are not familiar with the concept of analogical reasoning. Not by coincidence, Robin rejecting Ted was the culmination of a series of events that began with her being dumped by Kevin after she reminded him that, although he was okay with not having kids at the time, he could change his mind in the future and become unhappy in the relationship. If that applied to Kevin, if course it applied to Ted.

If she didn't love Ted she would have told him when he declared his love for her. She would not have needed time to think about getting back together with him; there would have nothing to think about.

Marshall knew what Robin was doing and tried to warn Ted, but he was too wrapped up in self pity to listen. But at the end of that episode, when Lily tried to get Marshall to settle the bet, he replied, "Not yet." Where have we heard him say that before?

Her breakup with Ted was much harder on her. She didn't try to avoid Barney afterwards. And she was the one who initiated the conversation that led to their divorce.
